They probably do… again.

But no, I‘m sorry I cannot rec any there (maybe others can?).

But nonny…. Anne Rice‘s wrath came down on fanfiction. She had it all taken down. Literally.

That event (and similar purges) actually led to the creation of Ao3.

And because of that there were very few fics on Ao3 while she was still alive. A lot of them are lost, or were hidden, very deeply behind password locked sites.

Anne might have relaxed her stance in the last years but there was a time when she literally came after fans with lawyers. My first reaction when I heard of her death, for all my admiration for her bravery and her work was: relief. And then sadness. She pulled out the fandom from under me (and so many others) back then. And it hurt. I still miss the forum I was in, “The Dark Ecrivains“.

We are so, so, SO lucky to have Ao3, for all its faults and problems. Not kidding.

But that just as a note.

So no, I don’t have recs for other sites, sorry. :/

I mean... they did say that they wanted to build the "universe"... and it does feel a bit as if they actually are. I do hope Mayfair Witches picks up the pace, and I hope Talamasca and Night Island will be shock full of little easter eggs and connections - I mean, it's nice that we get them, but for them to be something more than run-of-the-mill shows they need to feel like a part of the whole.

Fingers crossed we get that.

And yeah... the Raglan James rumors... :) We'll see if they hold, but, as my reaction to it all likely showed - I cackled ^^

It would be such a wild, brilliant move tbh.

The average show viewer would not (be able to) get it, and the book fans would likely jump up and yell at the scream *g*

So yeah. Interesting times ahead^^
