It's the sudden realisation that attraction is actually a thing that people experience and isn't just 'oh they look cool...' Also like the experience of faking crushes to try and fit in cause I didn't understand why I didn't actually feel anything for anyone.

This is the saddest part of the movies. It really is. Not just because of Fili’s heart wrenching face, but because of everything…

There’s the “grab my hand!” and futile reaching for Kili, who has no idea what’s going on as usual. And Fili almost stumbles into the abyss for his brother!

Yet as you know, while Fili is lying there discombobulated with a probable head wound, Kili doesn’t come to his aid and Thorin calls him by the wrong name.

And what does Fili do? He crawls across a pile of dwarves to try and rescue his uncle. Where’s your Kili now, Thorin?

Then he starts helping the others, like Bombur here. That can’t be good for his back. But Fili doesn’t care.

Look at Fili’s unconditional love and loyalty and let this be your personal inspiration to do heroic shit. I hope someone gave him a hug afterwards. But you know they didn’t.

The fact that Lego fíli is good with plants and can dig up and grow anything has been living rent free in my mind and is suffocating me with wholesome headcanons I cannot bear to live with alone.

They were living a new culture unlike their father's and father's fathers ways. Fíli is a bridge between the new ways and the old. It would make sense he would pick up other hobbies and habits but in less showy ways than Kíli would.

Agriculture would be sensible. Dwarrow needed to learn how to grow basic food if they couldn't trade for it and if he didn't pick up plant rearing this way it could easily be just for the sheer challenge of something different.

Room full of plants? That'd be rad.

Asking Dís to watch over his plants while he's gone? Send help my heart aches.

Banning Kíli from touching his plants because Kíli killed one (1) plant and Fí never let him live it down in a loving brotherly way- kí isn't dumb he just doesn't know the complicated watering schedule! He was trying to help. Fí knows but he also knows he can use this as leverage against Kí and does so when needed.

Putting found gem stones and special carved rocks with runes in his potted plants for growth and protection

Whenever they travel with merchants he's buying seeds or a plant cutting to take home and add to his collection.

I feel like some middle earth version of spider plants, snake plants, pothos, pilea etc but like make them middle earthy.

Moss probably has a moss garden. Ferns probably most likely. Sedum and small ground foliage like creeping thyme.
