You hated your job. You hated that you were stuck in the middle of nowhere just because your eighteen year old self had thought geology was a fun thing to study. You weren’t that mad at your younger self, sure every time your team completed one of your geological maps it lit a fire within you to make more, but constantly being relocated to various remote places around the country was beginning to take a toll on you.

“Anything else I can get you two lovebirds?”

You hide your face behind your menu, face burning.  Hoseok sits opposite you, uncharacteristically quiet, as Seokjin grins at the pair of you, folding his arms as he waits for your response.

“N-no, that’ll be all, thank you,” you mumble, burying your head into your hands.

“Alrighty, I’ll get your orders out as soon as possible.”  With a flourish of his hand, the menu separating you from your coworker-turned-date is gone, leaving nothing to hide behind.

You peek out from between your fingers, cheeks still red, to see that Hoseok is equally as embarrassed, fiddling with the outer shell of his left ear.

It wasn’t that you two didn’t like each other--in fact, it was the opposite.  Though Hoseok was an extrovert and cheerful, it seemed that he turned into a clumsy chatterbox when he was with you, not sure how to act.  After months of pining, longing stares when the other wasn’t looking, and quiet sighs, your friends and coworkers had had enough and had all elected to stay long after closing time to give the two of you a date that they felt was long overdue.

This was so cute. Like my heart is so full. 🥺🥺🥺 is not usually a big fan of the single dad trope but this was actually one of the cutest things I’ve read. The chemistry between them was so good and Sora my little hero 🥰🥺🥰🥺

You and Namjoon were broken up. You told yourself again and again as you fixed your makeup in the mirror getting ready for Jimin’s party, regardless of the ache in your heart that yearned for his dimpled smile, yearned for the way he would hug you and kiss you everytime he saw you. Eventhough you hadn’t seen him in a month you still found it hard to get over him. It wasn’t a surprise - you had been together for three years and the memories of his touch were etched under your skin. During the last month everytime you had a rough day or even a good day you would spend hours staring at his name on your phone wishing you could call him as usual. As you stepped into the Uber on your way you wondered if he felt the same way about you. If memories of you plagued him and kept him up all night as well.
