The Bad Batch in a Modern Setting with Tech wearing these

They just look soooo Tech. Maybe the yellow helps the blue light since he stares at a screen so much along with his prescription for his terrible eye sight , but then I’ve heard that those don’t really work so idk

But. Have you considered…

Don’t mind my dim-ass hand.

When I go hungry I go nail and tooth

CW for emaciated body/starvation

Do you ever think about how malnourished imperial-era Crosshair must be. He never gets to eat his meals when we see him, and he was stuck on that kamino landing pad for 32 days with little-to-no rations available

Close up + no lighting version:

Please read into every detail in this, especially the background

Big thanks to @starqueensthings , @kimiheartblade , & @divinity-in-chaos for consoling me when the lighting layer decided to eat itself 🫠

Oh my god of course I see ONE clip of Crosshair from the Bad Batch on YouTube and suddenly, without even watching a single episode of the show, I want to write him deal with trauma.

Of course I realize that THAT CHARACTER SPECIFICALLY GETS TORTURED and suddenly my brain is like “Hey, wouldn’t it be fun to give him food trauma from being forced to swallow the flesh of another clone that was shot point blank in front of his face with a shotgun. wOULn’t tHaT bE fUnnY???????”

Anyways. I thought about this just as I was falling asleep. And now I just woke up.

I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:

Fictional characters are objects.

They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.

I know this has good intentions, so I will just add the "how you treat them, even as objects of fiction, can speak about your own character, be careful out there"

Your addition is actually completely antithetical to my message. It is literally the opposite of what I am conveying.

Stop telling people to encourage the cop inside their head.

How you treat fictional characters, given they are entirely objects of fiction, does NOT necessarily speak to your own character, and you do not need to be "careful".

It is not dangerous to imagine dark things happening to fictional characters. It does not mean you are secretly a bad person. It does not mean you unconsciously want to hurt people in real life. It is not a "slippery slope" to doing bad things to people in real life. You cannot damage your brain or turn yourself into a bad person by consuming "dark" fanfic.

I can write tentacle noncon of my favorite character all day long and be a fierce anti-sexual assault advocate in real life because what I do in my head is not the same thing as what I do in real life.

Honor In Thievery; Rules of Espionage

Summary:

Deceive Inc. makes sure to cover all their bases. They hire the best of the best. Their agents are well informed and equipped with the most streamlined implements. Their clients' satisfaction is all but guaranteed.
They create contingencies for the most outrageous of possibilities.
Something as far-fetched as one of their employees being abducted is one such contingency. IRIS is certain it will never see the light of day.
Until the extraction vehicle, with Larcin and the golden suitcase inside, is shot out of the sky. The golden case is found, untouched and pristine, in the mangled remains of the flaming wreckage. Larcin is not.

Anonymous asked:

Google Ambient Chaos if you ever need background noises for writing! It's a customizable soundscape website.

Anon, when I first saw this ask, I thought it was going to be one of those mixers of nice, traditional sounds, like rain or a coffeeshop. And it is! And there's lofi hiphop, my favorite sound to write to! Which means this is legitimately an excellent tool for writers, and I love you for introducing it to me.

But I also want to say. There are some choices here. That I need to point out. Because they're either fantastic or questionable, and I can't decide.

Things like . . .

Couple arguing.

Medieval battle.

Beehive, where you can write to a fuckton of bees.

Crime scene.

And actually the perfect soundscape for NaNoWriMo.

Reblog this with the most obscure thing you’ve had to research for fanfic

A few that come to mind are: how someone can eat/drink without a tongue, the effects of electricity on human cells, the sharpness of a human jawbone, and surgical procedures used to remove an eye.

TW: animal death

This topic was requested soooo many times, but this one broke me. As a dog owner, this was terrible to draw (and took me way too long) .__.

Years ago, I read this comic. Tomorrow, I’m taking her to the vet for the last time. I think this comic instilled in me a courage I wouldn’t have now if I’d never seen it before, even though I’m upset. I’m not leaving her alone. I can’t do that to her.
