It's still kinda wild how Phineas and Ferb managed to completely hijack an idiom. Now whenever someone hears a sentence leading with "If I had a nickel for everytime [...]", odds are their brain auto fills with "I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice," rather than "I'd be rich," or "I could [action that requires purchasing something requiring an obscene amount of money]". Y'know, what the idiom originally was

who wouldn’t see this and then look deeply into their own emotional playing field to see what improvements could be made purely inspired by the vulnerable earth. this is the face of all literal gods

Once upon a time there was Netflix, and it cost $8 per month to watch pretty much any movie ever made instantly. It made sense. Everybody had Netflix and life was good.

Then there was Hulu, and it seemed weird at first to have two streaming services. But basic Hulu was free and mostly streamed TV shows so it kind of made sense. Soon they charged a small fee for the convenience of streaming TV shows without ads, which also made sense.

Life was very good. People forgot that piracy even existed.

Then a few years later they added about 200 other streaming services, each one costing more than the last, and each stripping away "exclusive" content from the other services, and now there are UNSKIPPABLE COMMERCIALS and the fucking planet is on fire

I wish I read more. I really am not a very, very good– like, when I say "good reader" I'm just not a committed reader. But I will say, when I obsess over something, I'll allow it to ruin my life, you know?

(I normally try to limit my Swiftieness to mostly music but sorry)I like Travis Kelce. I like him a lot. And he's not afraid of the media circus that is Taylor Swift's life right now. And he's making safe places for her to join his life, his family and friends.

Idk I just saw a video where he said he's welcoming the current chaos and he's spoken before about how the NFL is overdoing shit but knowing that until the NFL backs off he's all in for the chaos and not trying to hide her(Unlike another man), that they will continue their slow romance on their own terms and he can handle that...

She's sung about having to hide love to protect it for nearly a decade. Since Harry Styles. That's how long the people with cameras were hunters and she was an animal. And they were trying to kill her happiness. She believed romance wasn't dead only if you kept it hidden, that her greatest luxury were her secrets. She and Joe had such a love bubble that they so very rarely left.

But she seems so happy, learning there are men that aren't scared of hunters with cameras. Who wants things to calm, but will take chaos over hiding her. Who makes her feel safe at his games and talks about her-gasp-multiple times a week in public with a lovestruck grin. Joe Alwyn couldn't do that multiple times a year.

I feel like he'll probably go to her LATAM concerts on his bye week but I could be wrong/he could choose to see hang with his nieces and SIL and dad in Philly or whatever else he does.

I just. This feels good in it's bones. I can tell it'll be enough for him if she can never give him peace. And it makes me cry in hope.

Idk. You ever see a video and know-finally-your fave is loved by someone who can handle their anxieties? Nah. Just me. Okay
