“Well, how long you stayin’? Momma said we’d figure it out once she knew. She wants to go away with Clay for a bit and do icky romantic stuff I think,” Joanna pulled a face at that, childishly screwing up her face as she hung onto him. Clay was okay but he wasn’t her daddy. He was a bit weird too, but he hadn’t done anything bad really so he was fine for now.
“Well the Enterprise ain’t scheduled to go back out for another three months and I got plenty of leave time on the books too so you tell Daddy how long you wanna stay and I’ll make it work.” McCoy said, kissing the top of her head as she spoke, he hadn’t met Clay, not officially, but as long as was treating his little girl okay he was okay with him.
