DISNEY PAID DARREN WILSON WHAT

image

Hey, just a heads-up that this information is pretty unfounded and that the article writer is pro-Wilson. The two sources above show:

  1. Proof that Disney is the parent company of ABC (true, and common knowedge).
  2. A single article from Gotnews.com alleging that ABC paid Darren Wilson, according to “A NBC source with knowledge of the #DarrenWilson interview.”

I cannot find any information from a reputable news source to corroborate this information. During my search, I did find several articles that cover ABC’s decision to stop paying interview subjects due to bad publicity following the Casey Anthony trial. I also found a statement from ABC declaring that no money changed hands for Wilson’s interview.

Gotnews.com does not appear to be a reputable source. This article which attempts to back up their claim leaves a sentence hanging nonsensically (“Multiple sources in Ferguson law enforcement as well as journalists at NBC, TMZ, and ABC have confirmed that Darren Wilson”) before interjecting it with an unrelated tweet. Moreover, they attempt to strengthen their case by citing ABC’s history of paying off interviewees, but cannot cite any instances since the Casey Anthony debacle. Nor do they mention ABC’s ban following that case. This is purposefully misleading to readers.

Finally, let’s take a look at the author of the Gotnews.com article, a Mr. Chuck C Johnson. One look at his personal Twitter account will tell you all you need to know about where he stands on all this.

Is this a man you trust to give you the truth about Ferguson?

My personal conclusion after doing my own fact-checking is that the Gotnews.com article is nothing more than clickbait. I will be happy to reevaluate my position if a reputable news source can confirm their claim with citations.

I believe that what Darren WIlson did was wrong, and that the case so far has been a travesty of justice. There is more than enough to support that without resorting to falsehoods. Please fact-check all your information before spreading it. Let’s not direct any more traffic to an article written by a clear supporter of Wilson. Thank you.

I've seen some misinformation spread around on Ferguson lately, and it can be verified/debunked by all of you, personally, with just a little bit of fact checking. Show the world that you are informed, that you are above spreading around clickbait. Be the educators in your social circles, tell them the truth about what's going on.

There's plenty to be angry about in all of this without the lies.

I wasn't really feeling it so much this year, but I think Halloween happening is starting to get me into the Halloween spirit.

The Fire

with vocals by Julian Moon. Additional production by BassBeastJD. Saxaphone by SaxBrony

This is my 3rd Halloween song (2spooky4uSpooktacular). I wanted to get away from the “2spooky” angle and write something more serious. This is a campfire/folktale/urban legend kind of song. It was particularly fun to write the lyrics in an “AABAB” rhyme scheme, where A = ire and B = ane.

Hope you enjoy!

Well, they’re not all technically approved yet, and there might still be a few last-minute tweaks… But here it is, my children’s book.

It will be available (at some point, I’ll post when it’s released!) from Write Brain Books. Buy it for all the children in your life to avoid irreversible psychological damage related to severe lack of bug-and-slime-themed pictorials.

And thank you to everyone who put up with me (including my publishers) as I whined my way through this project.
