Masaomi peers up fromhis papers to stare at the expressionless face of his Executive Director, aka,Keeper of the Calendar, aka “I am not your secretary, stop calling me that,”Hinamori Akane.

“That seems like aquestion my Chief Financial Officer should be answering,” Masaomi says.

“Yes. Strangely, youraccountants felt reluctant to bring up your mistress to a seventeen-year-oldboy. Who is also your son.”

“I don’t see why, I’mvery open about my sex life with Seijuurou. Or I would be, if he’d let me. Andit’s not like he’s unfamiliar with the more erotic bodily urges. He has aboyfriend, presumably he’s getting some. Although, he hasn’t actually confirmedthat, I should ask again—”

“Please do so, and letme be in the room when you do. In the meantime, your accountants are verydistressed.”

“They’re accountants.I am pretty sure that’s just their default nature.”

Akane stares down athim and lowers her glasses in that way she has that clearly says, I am notamused.

“Mind you, I also haveno idea what hypothetical mistress these accountants are talking about,”Masaomi says. “Unless, of course, you mean Youji, which would be absurd, since youknow that he is not, in fact, my mistress.”

“The accountants weresurprisingly unwilling to believe me when I told them that,” Akane says.

“Accountants haveshockingly filthy minds. As it happens, I have and will always maintain I couldafford a much higher class prostitute than Youji.”

“Would you please? Ahigher class prostitute might be cheaper in the long run.”

Masaomi cackles andtakes out his cell phone. “I’m telling him you say that.”

“Go right ahead. Whileyou have him on the line, please ask him for his tax information, I at leastthink we should be able to file deductibles on the purchases he made for theJSDF.”

A/N: Hi again,Akaashi-anon! I always planned on having this scene be between Masaomi andAkane, since Akane features a lot in the Nijimura story, so @yasdnil69’s request wasnicely timed to combine these too. (Thanks, friend!) My quick lazy googling haslead me to believe that filing Japanese taxes is MUCH simpler than filingAmerican ones, but I’m just running with this anyway because Masaomi surelydoes a lot of international business and his taxes are probably the exceptionto the usually uncomplicated rule. (*ssh* just let me have this one, I don’teven know how taxes in America work most days…) Thanks again friends!

Hahahaha, thanks friend! I am veryflattered by that and your proposal =D (I have too much student loan debt,though. Trust me, you don’t want to marry into this). I also really, reallywish I could write those prompts for you because I am a super weak to peoplewho say they love me and also for MasaYou! But as I mention here in myfrequently asked questions page (still just going to keep plugging that…it’s apretty good page…) I can’t actually write any prompts involving Akashi orKasamatsu (or any of the children) wondering about Masaomi and Youji’sbackstory until after I write the very long Masaomi and Youji backstory. I haveA LOT of plans for that story, and I don’t want to write anything that willdisrupt those plans.

I also headcanon that Masaomidoesn’t drink all that often. He doesn’t like doing anything that impairs hisintelligence and he also really, really doesn’t like doing anything that mightmake him vulnerable around other people. So for Masaomi to actually be drunk,it would only be in circumstances where he felt 100% safe (and Youji wouldprobably be with him). And I also have a lot of things planned that sorta gointo that in the big story I have planned so I can’t write any prompts withthem involving alcohol. Foooor reasons.

Hmm, but I do feel like I owe you a MasaYou SOMETHING so I will try to write something for you in the coming weeks!

And I’m super happy you ship them!!I am ECSTATIC that you ship them!! Those guys are quickly becoming my favoritesto write so I’m always happy to write things for them that doesn’t involvemassive spoilers for the big long backstory I have planned.

Which is unfair to say, since I’mthe only one who knows what would involve a massive spoiler.

As an update, I just need to writeONE MORE CHAPTER (and an epilogue) for the Nijimura story and then it will beDONE and I can start POSTING it and then I can start WRITING the MasaYoustory!! But since it’s going to be long, it’ll take me awhile. Since I knowit’s of an interest to you, friend, and perhaps others on tumblr, maybe I willpost super short snippets of it as I write on tumblr until that one is completed? We shallsee. I do feel bad for how long it will take.
