This meme is inescapable on French insta so I'm posting it here for all to enjoy
Always reblog flash debate
on it boss
reminder that the presenter says "oh, shut up" not "can it"
Native French speaker here. "Ta gueule" is actually more like "shut the fuck up" in terms of level of disrespect
been thinking about the original staging of les mis a lot recently about how cammack took a genuinely brilliant piece of art and made it into a show that’s probably got a year or two left in it at most
they are so delighted by each other I HATE them

The Phantom of the Opera | Seoul, South Korea | 집팬텀 x 송크리 Review 5/6
October 13, 2023 - Evening / 1500th Korean performance
- The Phantom of the Opera | 김주택 Kim Ju-taek/Julian Kim
- Christine Daaé | 송은혜 Song Eun-hye
- Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny | 황건하 Hwang Gun-ha
- Carlotta Giudicelli | 이지영 Lee Ji-young
Oh another incident of me making excuses to see this show again...
- @capitanogiorgio really wanted to go and how could I miss the chance to go with a great friend
- it was the 1500th Korean performance
- I wanted to see Ju-taek with a completely different cast rotation
- ...it's King Ju-taek, that's reason enough
It was meant to be because when I checked in with her after ticketing, I had bought a seat right in front of hers without even trying. I was just aiming for the general area. So yeah I'm justified! The stars aligned! No regrets, because this was another performance that blew me awayand oh boy I cried again somehow what is thisdark magic being done to me
Round 1, Poll 2
Propaganda for Notre Dame de Paris:
None submitted.
Propaganda for Sweet Charity:
The Sweet Charity overture is so good it's absurd. It starts out slamming down that absolutely iconic Big Spender riff then goes straight into the musical equivalent of pure dopamine. It's such a good combination of classic and unique - that section with the guitars!! and it flows so wonderfully it's like floating around on clouds made of sugar.
Feel free to rb with any additional propaganda and I will rb it here.
Since no propaganda was given I will take matters into my own hands.
NDDP's Overture is quite literally the very essence of Notre Dame. Not only does it serves as the Overture, it's a leitmotif throughout the show, appearing in several songs such as La Volupté or Fatalité but most importantly (and famously) in Vivre.
It's not just an Overture it's the whole point and spirit of the show :
Live for the one/those you love
Love beyond love
Give without expecting anything in return
Free to choose your life and whatever you want it to be
From the very Overture, Notre Dame delivers its message of love and hope, how kindness and acts of love, whether romantic or platonic, can change everything.
It's not just an Overture it's an anthem
Yoon Young-seok, Son Ji-soo, and Lee Sang-jun in their fabulously glittering Masquerade garbs.

Thinking about 최재림's Phantom on this fine morning
Kwon Ga-min on her Christine debut!
with Jeon Dong-seok, Song Won-geun, and Han Bo-ra
Jeon Dong-seok marks Show 200 in Korea (100 in Seoul!) 👏👏👏
boat didn’t work for kwon gamin’s christine debut so she and dongseok had to walk on water during the title song the phantoms performing jesus miracles now i guess i saw someone say it was like a sightseeing tour 😭
more emotional one - from what i understand she tripped and fell trying to get between him and raoul during the final lair and dongseok helped her up. then later after the kiss he knelt down and smoothed the skirt of her dress saying "아프지마/dont be hurt" 🥺
