I fell in love with the curtains that came with the Desert Luxe kit. The seamless spacer, the full length design, it's just a great set of versatile curtains. However, I really wish I could layer other drapery with it. So what did I do? I made my own.

I love this - the mix of colors, shapes, and patterns is brilliant!
The new Modern Luxe kit is so beautiful, I did not miss my cc! I wanted to give Penny's studio apartment a makeover. A little inspired by Apartment Therapy with a mix of modern and some vintage pieces. I can see Penny going to the Sunday flea market and posting her finds, like the floor mirror and dresser. The primary living area is in the gallery, my ID is PickledTiara.
Tweaking the details for the living room and added dining. Diego Lobo strikes me as someone who loves drama. The oversized woven pendant from @rusticsims-blog is impactful, adding texture and pulling the other wood tones together in the room. I have not felt inspired in a while until I saw these upholstery pieces from @kiwisim4. Love the shapes and patterns, designed a maximalist space around the seating. I do find the beige aesthetic beautiful and calming, but I have always gravitated toward color. The painted ceilings make such a huge difference too! Sorry it has been a hot minute, hope everyone is doing well. While I was visiting my parents and only having my console to play the Sims I really started appreciating the original design style. Began creating lots only with vanilla build lots and actually got my first Maxis fave! Given how depressed I have been feeling I am craving cozy and cuteness. I am not shutting the door forever on alpha but going forward my builds will be more MM/vanilla with some alpha accents here and there. Thank you to everyone who has followed me or stayed during this period of inactivity, I appreciate it so much.

I have been away from my pc with all my content and was eager to decorate again. Mirrors are one of my staples and this bug where the reflection do not work is just so frustrating.
