FRAXASI / ( ben kylo ) :

     Anger settles in the pit of his stomach the longer he’s confronted by her silence. How long would she leave his questions unanswered and allow him to fester like an infected wound? Would she cut him off, a forsaken limb despite how very much the same they were?
     He pulled harder at the strings of their bond, harder at the mere thought of her having the gall to do that. How dare she reject him when he’d given her the answers she wanted, when he’d allowed her to live and killed his master for her. How dare she ignore him as if he were nothing, nobody. Kylo Ren is someone to her. If he weren’t, she wouldn’t have left Skywalker and rushed to his side.
     He’d never belonged so much as he had with her. No doubt she felt the same.
     Rey’s staunch disregard for his reaching out for her attention broke at last with his words. The door flew open and in rushed her feelings of loneliness and frustration - sadness. Even so beaten down emotionally, she rejected him -
     But did she really?

     “You don’t want me to go away.” Ren murmured as if pointing out the painfully obvious. All of his previous aggression melted away, her presence chasing the rage to the furthest corners of his mind. Where once he’d wanted to destroy something, scream, shout, anything just for some relief, he now stood at a loss staring at the girl crouched before him like she was lost again, waiting for what would never come back to her.
     “You wouldn’t be here otherwise. You’ve ignored me for this long. What changed?” One foot moved toward her almost of its own accord, childlike excitement flooding him - “Did you reconsider my offer?”
     A pause. A breath spent feeling her disdain and feelings of abandonment wash over him. “No. You didn’t.” Lip curling as the anger started taking root again, his hands balled into fists at his side. “Well. I’m disappointed, too.” It was you who didn’t choose me.

A DISORIENTATING FLOOD of anger, resentment && maybe more excitement than she care to admit made her pause, wide eyes looking back at him, lost && confused. ❝ don’t put  w o r d s  in my mouth ❞, she spat, regaining some of the composure she had been upholding since closing that door on him. ❝ i LET you in && i can shut you out again too ❞ she’s not as certain as her voice would suggest && though no one else would, she knew he would feel that. as much as she wanted, ( BUT DID SHE REALLY ? ) there was  N O  hiding from him. 

❝ don’t talk to ME about disappointed, ben . . . ❞

it’s the first time she’s used his name, his REAL name, since he had forced her hand, had forced her to leave him && it leaves a bitter taste in her mouth, but one she desperately craved more of. something about him, about how he had made her feel ( ACCEPTED. IMPORTANT. LOVED ? ) haunted her, even now, even after he had rejected her.  

she refused to answer why she had opened the door to their connection. just a crack, but one she knew he would push  W I D E  open the moment she allowed it. the loneliness, the doubt that was troubling her, that had led her to reach out to the ONLY one who had ever showed her understanding, had no doubt washed over him the moment she had come into view, making words useless.
