I made a discovery while gardening that I am invincible while wearing gloves. No scuttling spider frightens me into freezing, I held them and nudged centipedes out of the way with armored fingers.

I was genuinely just afraid of them touching me, go figure ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

#for the record i enjoy inverts and respect them greatly #but having certain ones loose in the house where i could see would cause primordial fear #i used a different bathroom all day bc there was a large spood above the door of the hallway #it was his bathroom that day

What frustrates me with being an "out of sight, out of mind" person is that people tend to love suggesting notepads, diaries, apps, lists, anything that you can write reminders in. But my kind of "out of sight, out of mind" extends to that as well. Truly. If it is not in my sight, it is not in my mind. And you know what happens when you close a book or an app? It is not longer in sight.
