Kinda low energy at the moment, so for the next little bit (couple a weeks I think) I’m just gonna chill and reblog Gallifrey content to my main instead of here.

I can say without a doubt that this is the fandom that has had the biggest influence on me. It has shaped me as a person and as a creative, and has led me to meeting some of the people I love most in the world. Who would have known “the west wing in space” could lead to so much love and joy?
Thank you to all of the wonderful people who have contributed to this series and to this community over the years, and a special thank you to the people over at @galliversary for the massive work they’ve done to mark the anniversary!
Although I started this piece before they announced the prompts for their celebration here on tumblr, I was very pleased to see that my art fit perfectly with today’s theme: redemption
The series has moved on, and in some ways so have I, but these four will always be in my heart, as will the thought of them escaping the time war and making a life and a community for themselves and any other refugees that they might bump into. I’m sorry, what was that? Canon divergent? Surely not, that would imply there is a solid canon to begin with!

Hi, only started getting into Dr Who's EU a couple months ago so I am pretty new to a lot of concepts in the fandom, would you mind telling me what "OT4" means?
Hi, welcome! hope you’re enjoying your descent into the Doctor Who EU!
OT4 is a general fandom term derived from OTP. OTP is short for one true pairing, the pairing you ship more than any other in a piece of media. People shipping polycules (relationships between more than two people) refer to their favourite ships as “OT3”, “OT4”, etc. because it’s not a pairing.
In the context of the Gallifrey, the polycule referred to is Romana/Narvin/Leela/Braxiatel. For a good chunk of the Gallifrey fandom’s history that was sort of the main ship that was talked about. It gets talked about less now (it’s not unpopular, just less in focus), but most older fans - and some newer fans - still refer to it simply as “the Gallifrey OT4”.

Remember how soldier obscura canonized brax was trained as a soldier diplomat assassin so the lord burner incident wasn't a one off thing , he was left in a live minefield by his mentor without telling him and his mindscape is basically living hell bc this audio makes me ill
i love matthias. he's slightly terrible
like. most time lords are a) incredibly shitty or b) trying to be good but mostly being incredibly shitty. matthias is neither of these. he isn't loyal to anyone in particular (but not in a bad way), he isn't actively evil, he actually has some common sense (!), and, like i said, he's only slightly terrible
