if you dont want print media to die, buy physical copies of things. if you don’t want independent journalism to die, subscribe to a local newspaper. if you want more libraries and skate-parks and arcades, get a bunch of friends and call in the individual charge of your village or town or whatever and ask for one to be built and use the existing ones. if you want more native flora and fauna, start looking at the ones that already exist and how to preserve them. this is your world too. fight for it. get rid of the rot of passivity.

UPDATE: Even More Vegetables for Rafah Camps!
Amazing news!! This time, Hussam put together the biggest round of packages for the people of the camp and surrounding areas! He and his team put together 350 packages of veggies, each with 10 kilos of assorted vegetables, and to pair with that he also distributed 350 cans of feta cheese!

AS part of its ongoing efforts to resettle, integrate and create economic opportunities for hundreds of returning Batswana of Namibian descent, the Namibian government has to date spent close to N$59 million to acquire five farms for their relocation.
The returnees are primarily the descendants of the Ovaherero, Ovambanderu and Nama tribes, who fought and perished in the war of resistance against German colonial troops between 1904 and 1908.
The few survivors of that gruesome war ended up in Botswana, and today, their descendants continue to show willingness to return in their hundreds to their motherland, Namibia. Presently, thousands of these descendants are found in various villages and settlements across Botswana, particularly in Ghanzi, Tsau, Maun, Semboyo, Komana and Chanoga.

In fact the organic protest was carried out by a teenage Claudette Colvin. She was dark skinned and pregnant so the NAACP didn't want to use her as the face for the movement. It was mostly for their image-based activism but also it protected her. She still got involved with the movement though just not front and center.
She's alive today. None of the horrors and indignities we faced are that long ago and many are still ongoing.
