"I'm so glad you made time to see me. How's life? How's your mom?" I ask Spencer. It's been months since i've seen him. Since i've left him.

He looks up and faces me. We were sitting on a park bench. The one where we first met.

"I couldn't say no. I've been fine, life is usual, working, going to more drive in Russian films than usual though" he said slightly laughing. I used to go to the Russian films with him, I smile back at the memory. I don't speak Russian so he would translate it and whisper in my ear.

I laughed too and it felt very nostalgic laughing with him again but then I started to feel guilty.

I think about the last time I saw him. He gave me roses and I left them there to die. I was delusional. It happened often. I have a breakdown, I think I know what I want, I make a big decision, then I regret it.

"And how have you been?" he asks. "Oh um- I've been okay, you know the usual working" I simply reply. Well it's true. That's all i've been doing other than crying to my friends about how much I fucked up.

He nods and we sit there in an uncomfortable silence for a little bit.

Come on Y/n. Swallow your pride. Tell him you're sorry. Be honest with him.

"I'm sorry" I blurred out.

He looked up at me shocked, his brown eyes filled with hurt. A hurt I put in them. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Im sorry for that night. Id go back to December all the time. I thought I wanted freedom but turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you wishing I realized what I had when you were mine. I'd go back to December and make it all right again if I could."

He was speechless. He didn't know what to say. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out.

"I-It's okay" he finally spoke. "Things happen people break up"

"No, no it's not. These days I haven't been sleeping. I stay up replaying myself leaving. When your birthday passed and I didn't even call" I feel my stomach sink remembering the day of his birthday. I was thinking of calling him but I couldn't. I just had broken up with him and I didn't think he would've wanted to talk to me.

"Y/n/n seriously its not big deal" he said tears forming in his eyes.

"I'm sorry Spencer, I made a mistake" I let myself be vulnerable for once in my life. I don't like to talk about my feelings, Spencer knew that. I hope he knows that this is serious for me right now.

Tears slip out of my eyes. "And I think about summer all those beautiful times I watched you laughing from the passengers side. I realized I was in love with you in the fall"

Tears come from his eyes and he quickly wipes them.

"And then I just got scared. I got scared because I never do good in relationships. I let the one good thing I had go. You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye. Im sorry. I wish I could go back to December and make it all right again but I can't."

He hugs me. "Y/n you should've talked to me. I could've helped you we could've worked things out" he held my hand softly. "I know, I know I just" I paused. "I don't know how to let people in, Spencer. B-But I miss your tan skin, your sweet smile. You were so good to me, So right. And you held me in your arms the September night when I got into a fight w-with my mom. That was the first time you saw me cry."

"And I would do it again, people make mistakes. Id do anything for you Y/n"

I cried in his arms just like I had before just like I used too. It felt like I was finally home. "Maybe this is wishful thinking, but if we were to get back together Id love you right"

"Y/n...." he started.

"I love you but, you really hurt me I can't trust you"

I felt my heart break. I felt the pain he felt. Him saying he can't trust that I wouldn't do that again. It felt like the world had suddenly got colder. "I-I um I understand" I whisper. I collect my stuff and stand up.

"Goodbye Spencer"

I walk away. Not looking back. Suddenly I hear him calling my name. "Y/n!"

He ran up to me and kissed me. It felt so nice. So nice to have him in my arms again so nice that he's mine again. Everything was perfect. He finally pulled away. "I love you and i'm willing to work on forgiving you" he said holding my face. "I love you Spencer Reid"

Ten years since i've seen him. Ten years since he started his job at the BAU. I'm finally going to see him again.

I'm not sure where it leaves us. When he left we loved each other but it's been years since then. I've dated a couple people, i'm not sure if he has.

I get out my car. It's cold during October. I have a light sweater, I should've brought a thicker one.

I shiver before walking into the building. It was a little intimidating. Not only where there a bunch of fbi agents walking around but there was the pressure of seeing Spencer again.

I go to his department and walk in. I immediately spot him. "Spencer" I said quietly. He heard me and turned. "Y/n" he comes up to hug me. "I've missed you so much" he says engulfing me in s hug. I hug him back, I can feel eyes on us. It's uncomfortable but I don't care.

"I've missed you more" I say hugging him tighter. We pull away just then a very colorful woman came up to me. "Oh. My. God. Y/n! I've heard so much about you" she hugs me. I just give Spencer a confused look. "Y/n this is Penelope" he says.

I wave at her and smile. "Spencer's been so excited! He's been preparing for you to come back! He talked about you so much"

"Oh really?" I smirk looking at Spencer. He looks down at the floor and blushes. "Penelope don't tell her all that" he whispers. I laugh before hugging him. "It's okay Spencer i've missed you too"

More people come up to us introducing themselves. I now know Penelope, Emily, JJ, Derek, and their bosses Hotch and Rossi.

"You are just as gorgeous as Spencer said" Derek compliments me. "Thank you" I blush.

I look back at Spencer, whispering something to JJ. He looks so happy talking to her. Are they dating? He would've introduced her as his girlfriend right?

I start to feel nervous. I haven't seen him in ten years but those feelings are still there.

He comes back and hugs me again. "I can't believe you're here"

"I know I can't either" I smile.

"Guess what" he says grabbing my hand.

"What?"

"I asked for the rest of the day off so I can spend time with you" he smiles.

First we got ice cream from his favorite little shop. Then we went to his favorite library and checked out books. We went to his apartment and read a couple chapters of my favorite book together. Then we watched my favorite movie and he made us hot chocolate. We caught up with what's been happening with each other lately. I told him about how I love it here. Maybe i'll move here it seems like a good area. Then we went to go get lunch at his favorite spot. On the way home we passed a trampoline park and I begged him to go. He agreed. He jumped and bounced for about two hours.

Finally we were exhausted. We got into the car and played all of our favorite songs. I saw him on his friend a lot though. He was getting a lot of calls and texts from JJ. Maybe they are dating.

"I have one final surprise for you" he whispers. He puts his hands over your eyes. "Spencer I swear to god if you're planning to scare me i'll kill you" I joke.

I hear him laugh. "No Im not going to scare you Y/n"

I hear the door open and he walks me into what i'm assuming is his apartment. He takes his hands off of my eyes and I see candles lit and my favorite flowers are in his hands and two necklaces.

"Spencer" I say.

"Will you go on a date with me?" he says nervously.

"Yes!" I smile hugging him. He gives me the flowers and I look at the necklaces. They were matching best friend necklaces. They look like the ones we had when we were younger. "Spencer" I look at him in awe. "Where did you get these?"

"A couple years ago there was a store like the one we got from them from originally, and they were closing down so I went in and saw these and I had to get them. Ive been waiting for you to visit so I can ask you out with it."

He looks down at the floor all shy. "Awe Spencer" I hug him once again.

I pull away. "Wait.."

He looks up. "What?"

"I thought you had a girlfriend"

"What?! No I don't." he replies.

"What about the girl who's been texting and calling you all day?" I ask. "She helped me set this up Y/n, I promise the only person I want is you" he kisses your lips softly. You're shocked at first but then you kiss back.

"So I guess you kept your promise" I laugh.

"Of course I did. It's always you"
