Happy Two Years Starfrost!
To celebrate Starfrost reaching two years, I’m opening a brand new blog!
I know I know! Pitchforks down, please! I’ve known for a long time that i do better with working at least two stories or books at a time, and I realized that there was another blog story I wanted to tell. I will never give up on Starfrost- I’ve had her story for well over 7 years now, she’s not going anywhere! My universe is just growing a little bit. c: So without further ado...
In @dunmoor-camhanaich, meet siblings Shaggy, Champ, and Hedgewitch, whose parents disappeared on the wild and mysterious Dunmoor nearly seven years ago. Along with their cousin Thistle, they’re trying to navigate the dangerous and beautiful paths of living alongside Fae and uncover the truth about their losses. If you have a love for moors, mythology and Fae, this may just be the perfect blog for you! c:
Story updates will begin in August, until then I will be posting general art of the characters/story, answering little character asks with sketches, and posting any landscape studies I do for the story! Thank you so much for all of your support!

Had bit of a gap between doctor appointments the other day, so decided to try doing some doodles of other people’s characters from memory (phone ran out of battery so I couldn’t look up references- I had however probably been looking at some of them not tooo long ago, didn’t even attempt some of the characters I wanted to do.)
Think they turned out fairly recognizable, though the mane/hairstyles are almost certainly at least a little bit off! (And at least one accessory that isn’t normally there materialized out of thin air whooops)
Not tagging anybody so people can make guesses if they want (not that it’d be too hard, it’d be more of a challenge if I actually tried some of the ones I wasn’t fully prepared for)

Happy birthday @askstarfrost ! Finished the sketch from Bronycon of three of your reindeer (Vaylor, Cinna, and Fyedkha). (set out to draw all the reindeer but then I realized there were 15 of them whoops). Glad I picked those three cause they’ve got a good variety of fur and eye colors and antler shapes!

This is a response to this post. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to draw something (while working on my new style) because I CANNOT HANDLE SAD NEON DARLING PLEASE YOU AND YOUR WINGS ARE BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT ;; So I drew tall snow horse giving some awkwardly delivered words of encouragement to gorgeous purple birb horse.

it’s the smallest subspecies of reindeer on the planet and it loves you
the svalbard reindeer is also the northernmost herbivore in the world, and during winter they survive an average of −16°C (3°F) weather
look at those small fluffy ears and kind eyes, the reindeer is cheering you all on to stay strong in these trying times
just like the arctic winter, this too shall pass
the svaldbard reindeer proves that even under the most extreme of circumstances, life finds a way. so please, please keep on fighting

Here’s one without the window glass, so you can see Reifling’s colors better! Also, here’s a few notes I have about Reifling so far!
- Reifling is a nocturnal faery and typically goes into a hibernating-like state during the warm months.
- Reifling actually has pretty poor eyesight, for unknown reasons. She can see shapes and colors, but not details, which many find surprising given her life’s purpose.
-Reifling has a hard time handling interactions with more than one individual at a time. She appears elegant and ethereal, but is actually quite shy as well.

Featuring @theamishpirate‘s Kindleheart and my Reifling! These two might be polar opposites, but they are friends! Warm and cold!
Both designs were made by the amazing @asktechnowizard!
Reifling translates to “little frost one”. I love her SO MUCH. She is the faery of autumn frost, harbringer of snow. She spreads the frost and chills lakes and ponds. (This description is thanks to Steph!)
I’m posting these guys here to prove I am still around and drawing haha, I used these designs as a warmup for the next post! These are a pair of reindeer mages I’ve been wanting to draw for awhile, the first is a mage who channels magic through abalone shells and the second uses arctic poppies.
These two are a gift for @kajeaynart, because she did some absolutely amazing designs for @ask-ember-quill‘s cutie mark sale and I felt like she deserved something in return! Both Ember and Kaj are darling people so be sure to check them out, and if you can, please support Ember as her family recently lost their house to a fire.

Some of that goofing off I was doing to shake off the rust of not drawing very much lately~ I’ve been playing a lot of Rimworld when I’m not faffing about with D&D stuff. I thought it would be fun to mimic the style of the game sprites, which the game calls “pawns”. So I also took it as an opportunity to do a little fanart to test said pawns!
