Winners!
Finally!
Again, I am so sorry for the delay.
Winner for fanfic: @lizeboredom
(Yes I drew it in August, I had intended to be on the ball with this. I was not)
Fan art will be next.
First, major apologies for the delay. Life got away from us and then Tumblr would not let me post the art masterlist and I kept struggling and fighting with it and putting this off.
I am going to do the draws without a masterlist. I have a masterlist of participants and I will use that and video the process. I am so sorry for the delay.
Life has been crazy for all of us, but we have not forgotten about the contest or winners. The art mastetlist will hopefully be up by next week and then the content draw winners a day or two later.
Thanks for the patience.
Poster Winner
Thank you for bearing with us as we figured out the winners for ACoRAW. The fan art mastetlist will be up tomorrow and the fanfic and fan art draw winners announced on Friday.
But in the mean time, we are ready to announce the winner of the poster by the amazing @shynmighty
And the winner is @lastfirstcupcake! Thank you to everyone who participated in the trivia contest.
Have the drawings for acoraw happened yet?
They have not! They are in progress! The poster drawing will be posted tomorow or Tuesday.
The fan art mastetlist will be posted tomorow and the draws a day or two after that (in case we have missed any).
Once the other draws are done, we will work on the participation draw.
Thanks for the great week! Here are the answers to the final questions 1. 3.000 to 6.000 men? 😬 2. And Caesar was assassinated March 15 44 BC😮
Thank you for participating! Both are correct!
ACoRAW day 7 trivia question 2: Caesar was assassinated on the Idea of March, a day Latin 2 students celebrate every year after having to translate The Helvetian Campaign The actual date being March 15, 44 BCE
Correct
Also, that is so cool
ACoRAW Day 7 trivia question 1) a legion was about 5500 men.
Correct
For 1., the answer varies depending on time. From the republic to the early empire, the number of cohorts/centuries varied and the number of infantrymen making up the ranks in that time frame varied from ~4,200 to ~6,000. I could go further but I’ll stop there. The number depends on time, but it should be somewhere between there. For 2., Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44BC, the Ides of March. Hope that’s what you’re asking for on this question lol. Thank you again for hosting this event!!!
Both are correct and thank you for participating!
For the last trivia: 1. 1 Legion = about 5000 men. 2. 15 March 44 BC (The Ides of March).
Yes to both
Heyy so today’s questions: 1. I heard she got herself wrapped up in a carpet that was smuggled into Caesar's chambers. 2. Dictator Sulla duhhh 😄
Both are correct!
Day 6 ACoR trivia question 2: Sulla
Correct
Day#6 ACoR trivia ask: question 1) funny story, and very unlikely true, but supposedly she pulled her own kind of Trojan horse drama and had herself rolled up inside a carpet and delivered to Caesar. I don't know about you, but I cannot picture Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, burritoing herself in a rug, but that's just me
Yes!
I think I know the answer to 1., so I’ll try. I believe she arranged to meet him in Alexandria herself and she had herself rolled up in a rug or carpet or something and delivered to his living area. The two met when she emerged from the unrolled carpet. All allegedly, of course, but I believe that’s the story. I’m completely drawing a blank for 2., so I’ll just rely on 1. Thank you, as always!
Yes! You got it!
