[I was planning on returning here at the end of the month, maybe next month, but.... The hate that keeps getting put in my tag here is keeping me away. I don’t feel safe on this site anymore. I feel nothing but anxiety, dread, sadness whenever I think about coming back.
Maybe...maybe, if the hate ever dies down, I can return. But until then, I just cannot do it.]

Letting out a huff as he shook his head, the hedgehog slowly got up, blinking, glancing around before focusing on Rio. She certainly wasn’t the one he was taking care of– But she was welcome nevertheless.
“– No, I’m fine, I’m fine. I just had a rough landing.”
Though, with that said… How did he introduce himself? Hesitation… Before just tilting his head lightly.
“… Name’s Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog. What’s yours?”
Rio blinked, as the hedgehog got up after that rough landing. She supposed hedgehogs were rather durable, especially Mobian ones, but still. Was he bleeding? Or did he have a head injury? It looked like he went headfirst--
“I think rough is putting it mildly.”
After that quip, the vixen smiled, listening as the other introduced himself. Nodding, she would then do the same.
“I’m Rio! Nice to meet you, Shadow!”
The black hedgehog just promptly crashes through a tree, rolling and getting up as soon as possible, even while still sliding due to the momentum... Only to have the top part of the tree fall on his head. "... Ow."
There’s sudden noises, as the vixen sees someone quickly crashing through a tree. While they were rolling, she began to rush over, only to skid to an abrupt stop when the top part of the tree fell on its poor victim.
“Holy chaos...!” Now though, Rio could go over to the Mobian, reaching to lift the top of the tree off of him. Discovering a hedgehog, a still conscious one at that, she tosses her load off to the side, and focuses on him.
“Hey, are you bleeding anywhere?”
Ren didn’t mind her head cocking over to his direction, for he’s already enchanted by this fox’s beauty. Though, Stimpy noticing this island girl looking, couldn’t help but greet his, or ‘their’ for that matter, new friend.
“Greetings, fellow islander. Care to join us for our last month of summer relaxation?”
Here’s where Ren gives Stimpson the back of his hand, not that Stimpy would mind anyway; he’d dealt with more pain in his lifetime, and he’s still oblivious to them. “Zip it, nimrod! I’ll handle this!”
Then, ol’ Hoek starts to flex himself in front of the new girl, even though he’s still a scrawny little mosquito, well, a chihuahua for that matter. “I don’t do this around the ladies very often, but I haven’t lost my edge yet.” He’s trying real hard to impress this lady.
The greeting from the cat earned a giggle, the fox about to respond when his friend decided to backhand him. Well then, Rio paused in what she was doing, putting her shells and stones back in the small bag hanging from her waist.
She chuckles at the flexing; it’s cute, even if Ren is rather scrawny. Hmmm, should this vixen one up him already? After brushing the sand off her sarong, she puts one hand on her hip, and with the other...
Jabs her thumb in the direction of a nearby boulder, oh-so subtly flexing that bicep of hers.
“Alright, strong boy. Can you lift that over there~?” Because she could. And she wouldn’t be afraid to do it, either.

[I suppose I should note that Rio does have an accent when she speaks English. With Hawaiian being her first language (and the fact that she initially didn’t even want to speak English),it would probably make sense that she does have a bit of an accent while speaking.]

Here are our boys, Ren and Stimpy, spending the last month of Summer at the beach. This time, it’s a moment of relaxation for the two; no more chasing women in bikinis this time around.
However, that’s where our boy Ren caught his eyes on a rather unusual sight.
And here is that very unusual sight indeed: an island grey fox, sitting in the sand while stringing together some shells and stones. Whether for her little handmade jewelry business, or another piece for herself, it’s unclear. But at the moment, she is oblivious to the chihuahua staring at her.
Maybe not for long, though. Her ear just twitched, followed by a glance in that direction.
