No cuz I fucking love this sign. It’s not an actual barrier so it’s not like some sort of challenge it simply says “fuck around and you will find out”

Ohohoho I LOVE “fuck around and find out” signs, especially the really dramatic and ominous (but true) ones

(Context for the last one: it’s a WWII era sign posted around the soldiers’ washroom mirror, warning them to never discuss military plans in places where civilians could hear them and report back to the enemy, e.g. in restaurants and pubs in the country. “Loose lips sink ships”.)

I also love these two, which I would place in the category of “You already fucked around, now you’re about to find out.”

Aerated water is fucking scary. It's water that has a fuckton of gas in it, which reduces the buoyancy to the point where you will immediately start to sink if you fall in.

for those who don’t know, hulu’s under the bridge is based off of the very real and brutal death of a 14-year-old girl. the story of reena virk is widely known and is still talked about where i grew up. her family has run anti-bullying campaigns across the province for as long as i can remember.

so while i know a lot of people will watch it in the coming days for lily gladstone and riley keough, i hope you also take away the message that i think the show is doing a god job of delivering so far: if bullying and racism go unchecked, the consequences can be dire for those who are the the most vulnerable. if you are silent, you are complicit.

the improv impulse is so dangerous. one time a little kid asked me where the friend I was with went (she walked off to grab drinks for us) and, before I could think about why this was a bad idea, I pointed to the river and said "I drowned her" complete with a motion of pushing down someone's shoulders

Rick Riordan’s “vanilla YA fantasy” series was written for his son with ADHD and dyslexia because there weren’t any books about kids with learning disorders. He “made his bones” on representation, you just didn’t notice because disabled people don’t count.

I don’t know about you but like inviting an “old friend” into your childhood room and offering wine and flirtingly telling her that it sucks that she’s a cop now and smiling at her over the rim of your wine glass and reaching out to put your hand on her shoulder and standing so so close to her meanwhile she’s so cagey and has big sad eyes and is so done with your bullshit and quite literally tells you to fuck off and not to start this again is a dynamic I personally love to see
