so this feral little cat god was inadvertently freed by suzume... was physically transformed by the care suzume showed it... cursed the guy who wanted to keep it as a keystone for the rest of eternity... led suzume around japan to all the gates while acting like a petty asshole to souta (DESERVED because again he was trying to keep it sealed for FOREVER)... frolicked around in the sunlight enjoying life... was so happy when souta became the new keystone so suzume and it could finally be together... and then the heartbreaking "you don't love me anymore?" shriveling up into the saddest wrinkled little prune... followed suzume back to her hometown... helped fight the worm for her sake... sacrificed itself for suzume and transformed back into a keystone, where it will remain unmoving for the rest of time... and no one even cared..... this tiny manic trickster cat was the tragic hero of an unrequited love story......
I went to see Suzume and its amazing how fast I went from "you tell that damn cat off!!" to "NO DONT YELL AT HIM"
finally watched Suzume and my only criticism is that Daijin didn't get a happy ending. I KNOW that the whole point of the movie is about sacrifice and love and grief but. DAIJIN JUST WANTED TO BE LOVED. YEAH HE WAS BAD AT COMMUNICATING (partly because Souta chased him everywhere) BUT HE WAS A KITTY. HE WANTED LOVE. HE WANTED TO BE FREE.
don't want to subject anyone else to being a keystone but I also want Daijin (and Sadaijin) to be happy
this stupid lovely cat made me go through every single emotion in less than 2 hours.
ALLOW THE KITTEN TO HAVE ALL THE LOVE PLEASE I WAS SOBBING

i dont know why the doctor doesnt see it coming when the master is somehow alive and back. its like hearing that hayao miyazaki is retiring after a movie and believing it unquestionably. at what point is it actually your fault
find a man who cherishes you enough to cut off the dick of the man who has scorned you in order to use it to tenderly make love to you after proposing with a peach ring so that you do not have to die a virgin and can instead live on forever with him while he regularly brings flowers to your gravesite and tends to your undead body's electrocution wounds as he reads percy bysshe shelley's poetry to you. do NOT settle for less.
lisa frankenstein was so fun because it follows the slasher movie formula really closely, actually. it's just that instead of the main character being the final girl, you're seeing everything from the perspective of the slasher villain. and the slasher villain thinks she's in a romcom.
Need a Victorian zombie to be obsessed with me guys.
