S'up. I like to go by Aiden. I tend not to tag a lot of my reblogs, just fyi. I do try though to tag any potential triggers. He/him or they/them pronouns (sometimes more of the latter). Expect a lot of weeb shit with some shitposts here and there. Oh, and I cosplay. (Nasuverse sideblog is rootin-tootin-shuten-douji)

🚀 People trying to blame Iran for this measured and calculated “escalation” conveniently ignore the facts. The real question is why are the UK and US so quick to condemn Iran for its attacks tonight, but so unwilling to condemn the Israeli attack on Iran’s embassy in Syria?

catopumas are so interesting 2 me bc theres only two species so far in the genus, and its either

a very gentle looking asian golden cat

very kind looking, round. 10/10

and then the other in the genus is

the bay cat, or as i like to call them - the weasel cat. long, kinda weird looking, but still 10/10 despite the weaselness.

[Image ID: A Facebook post from Stetson Barnhouse on Aug 18 that reads as follows - As a polyamorous human, I'm always amused by the look on monogamous folks' faces when they ask "What's to stop your partner from finding someone else they like better?" and I respond "Absolutely nothing that doesn't apply to a closed, monogamous partnership."

The things that end polyam relationships are, at their core, the same as those that end monogamous ones. They're things that will end *any* relationship - romantic, sexual or platonic:

Incompatible needs, priorities & interests.

Failure or refusal to grow, or growth in mutually-exclusive directions.

Lack of or inequitable investment.

Withdrawn, withheld, withered or misaligned affection.

Poor communication & conflict resolution skills.

Boundary issues.

Dishonesty.

Abuse.

Etc.

If you think having all your emotional eggs in one basket is some sort of automatic hedge against heartbreak or abandonment, you're deeply mistaken. The same is true of having them in several.

No matter what your relationships look like, invest in yourself and the people you love. Practice and seek out honest communication, ethical behavior, consistency between words and actions (where it counts), and reciprocity. It won't guarantee anything, but it'll sure increase the odds. End ID.]

Yeah but: a lot of people aren't sufficers when it comes to relationships, they're maximizers. They don't want good enough, they want the best they can get. They'll settle for the best they think they can do and then abandon them later if they think they can get away with it, and they think everyone is like that.

This is really counterintuitive to me but it does seem to be the way a lot of people operate, especially "normal" people.

They'll do the same thing with friendships, pick friends and friend groups primarily based on social status and not things like whether they're actually good friends.

Goes horribly with polyamory of course.

additional comment from the anon: this mostly applies to things like smut or nsfw art. I see a lot of blogs that are 18+ and I’ve always wondered if people actually listen to "minors dni (do not interact)" or if they just ignore them.

*this poll was submitted to us and we simply posted it so people could vote and discuss their opinions on the matter. if you’d like for us to ask the internet a question for you, feel free to drop the poll of your choice in our inbox and we’ll post them anonymously (for more info, please check our pinned post)

on the way home, the Tesla Model 3 barreled into a tree and exploded in flames, killing von Ohain, a Tesla employee and devoted fan of CEO Elon Musk. Rossiter, who survived the crash, told emergency responders that von Ohain was using an “auto-drive feature on the Tesla” that “just ran straight off the road,” according to a 911 dispatch recording obtained by The Washington Post. In a recent interview, Rossiter said he believes that von Ohain was using Full Self-Driving, which — if true — would make his death the first known fatality involving Tesla’s most advanced driver-assistance technology.

Finally, they have a witness. A survivor of an Autopilot mishap who can testify that the driver was using Full Self Driving mode at the time of the crash.

See, this has been impossible thus far because (1) survivors are rare, and (2) Teslas are programmed to automatically disengage Self-Driving milliseconds before the crash so that when investigators review the telemetry it clearly shows FSD wasn't turned on.

And due to this technicality, Musk has been able to claim Autopilot has never killed anybody. Until now.

Yeah unfortunately this happened 2 years ago and the Colorado State Patrol have closed the case for lack of evidence. His widow tried to find lawyers to represent her in court but none will take the case, cause he was fucking drunk at the time of the crash. The fire was so intense that no data was able to be recovered, and the cell reception was spotty so it wasn't transmitting it to Tesla. And the other guy who survived was drunk too and said he only remembers bits and pieces, so even if by some miracle this does make it to court, he's hardly a reliable witness. It would seem that unfortunately the muskrat once again weasels out of facing consequences.

the stuff going on at columbia campus rn is genuinely incredible

despite mass arrests by NYPD and several students (including rep ilhan omar’s daughter, isra hirsi) being suspended for their participation and having their university identification deactivated, the gaza solidarity encampment is still going strong well into its second day. def recommend following independent reporter talia jane who is taking part and providing live updates. (talia was the first reporter to break aaron bushnell’s self immolation in february; she was one of the reporters he contacted personally prior to the protest.)

thank you so much alexa @shivsblunt for mentioning it…..anyone who wants to contribute to their jail support fund can do so @ bcabolitioncollective on v*nmo. also, if anyone is in the area and available to join (via cssw4palestine on ig):
