Spotted another leggy wanderer on my way home.
For sale! M03 from my Miller x Terry Bolivian Silverback litter. Dam was Cyan Sunday and sire was Smoke, so he should grow up to be a stellar animal. Born Aug 2018 and eating f/t fuzzies - has great temperament too!

i volunteer at a place that has multiple snakes, and i have just been told that all of them are infected with crypto. i am going to be getting a snake in the coming weeks, and i am afraid that i'm going to forget to disinfect myself one day and she's going to get crypto. do you think i should stop volunteering at this place to prevent my snake getting infected or keep going and risk her getting infected?
I really, really don’t know enough about the crypto virus to give any advice on this :( I’m sorry
I wouldn’t go anywhere near a place with a known cypto situation. Crypto is a highly contagious parasite that is very difficult to kill (most cleaners don’t touch it, you need steam cleaning or nondiluted ammonia in contact for 30 minutes). It can live on surfaces for AGES and still be contagious.
There is no effective cure, it’s fatal, painful, and easy to transmit. Run away.

Found this guy out and about while walking to the neighbor's. I love seeing tarantula around, they're so neat.
Photos from kayaking today. It was a beautifully overcast day, and I'm happy with how some of these shots turned out. Saw 3 nerodia, one in the same spot as last week, but I've been trying to get better photos of the resident birds for a while.
Set out southeast of the city last night with a friend to try and road cruise some canebrakes. The roads were pretty quiet and we had no luck on the canes, but we did see a broad-banded water snake and 3 cottons when we were out checking the water. It was a good night for inverts and armadillos, as well.
I took my zoom lens out kayaking this week. I need more practice shooting with it, but I was pretty happy with the turnout. Saw 4 nerodia this time - 3 as I was going out, and one coming back that was underwater and hunting fish. Very cool to watch.
Had a visitor lay claim to my porch this morning.
A couple N. rhombifer found on the lake today.
Found this rough green, DOR maybe 50' away from the driveway, coming home from work. Sucks to find them like this.
A couple more N. rhombifer from this morning, along with some turtles.
