Did a survey on dndbeyond and I laughed out loud when I got to this one. Wizards of the Coast is pretty strict about where their IP ends up, and have taken down more than one very useful site over the years that hosts dnd content. I don’t know if anyone else is gonna take this survey, but this is good to know for the future: protect non licensed sites from take downs by not being a snitch, purposefully or accidentally.

I lean towards blue.
I’ve always designed them as Gruul, as they master the water but not of it. Plus, it emphasizes birds in non-flying colors.

It feels like, unintentionally or not, that Ixalan is in some form glorifying the conquistadors of old. I know you are generally positive with sets but with some of the criticisms of HOU and Kaladesh in this regard, is there anything you can say to relieve me of this concern?
Glorify them? We made them literal blood-sucking vampires.
Some people need to get a life. Besides, the Aztecs weren’t the nicest people either.

The other other decks all having red was an issue.
But considering that Red is weak in EDH, that could have been explained away.
