Modern Gods Discord Rp

Mt. Olympus has fallen.  While the mountain itself still stands in Greece, the great city of the gods atop it has fallen into disrepair and is no longer safe for even immortals to live in. With the Hellenic religion falling largely out of practice with the rise of Christianity, the gods have lost many of their powers. As such, they have found new homes among the mortals.  Certain mortals, their stories tightly intertwined with those of the gods, have been reincarnated time and time again, forever cursed to repeat their tales. The Olympian gods are searching for ways to gain back their former glory while mortals seek to end the cycle of tragedy; and the shadows of New Age Gods get darker every day.  The place is New Orleans, Louisiana in the United States of America. a concept for a sanders sides fanfic/episode

thomas is planning some sort of surprise birthday party for a friend and when said friend asks about it he almost tells them the truth about the surprise so he calls a group meeting and his like “ what the hecc guys whyd i almost tell them?” fingers are immediately pointed to roman and thomas is like “youre creativity, why didnt you make up some kind of excuse?” and roman is like “well i didnt even know an excuse had to be made!” so after some back and forth they realize that thomas almost told the truth cus thomas cant lie at all. so they call on deceit and surprise surprise, hes messing with them. not cus hes sad or anything but cause hes petty and wants to mess with them. “oh but i thought lying was soooo bad??” so the rest of the gang are like “well deceits a slimey boi, how bad could this be?” queue a montage of thomas being brutally honest about peoples appearances and spoiling shows for people and now all his friends are pissed at him the gang realizes “okay this is bad.” and bada boom bada bang resolution somehow itd be a fun way to show that not all forms of lying are bad while still keeping Deceit as the villian

Dyscalculia is a learning disability, a lot like dyslexia, but with math and numbers. Everyone knows what dyslexia is, but for some reason, dyscalculia isn’t as well known. I want people to know about this so no more kids are gonna believe uneducated adults who tells them that they’re just lazy and no more kids are going to think they’re just hopeless idiots when they try and try but just can’t understand. It happened to me, and I won’t let it happen to anyone else.

It’s surprisingly common and is often linked to ADHD. If you’ve ever had issues, look it up - you might find things fall into place for you, too.

  •  Inability to comprehend financial planning or budgeting, sometimes even at a basic level; for example, estimating the cost of the items in a shopping basket or balancing a checkbook.
  • Inconsistent results in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Difficulty with multiplication, subtraction, addition, and division tables, mental arithmetic, etc.
  • Problems with differentiating between left and right.
  • A “warped” sense of spatial awareness, or an understanding of shapes, distance, or volume that seems more like guesswork than actual comprehension.
  • Difficulty with time, directions, recalling schedules, sequences of events. Difficulty keeping track of time. Frequently late or early.

  •  Inability to grasp and remember mathematical concepts, rules, formulae, and sequences.
  •  Inability to concentrate on mentally intensive tasks.

I can’t even comprehend what it might be like being a human who doesn’t have all of these characteristics. I don’t know how a brain can possibly just “remember” how to do long division or know what ten feet looks like.

I can’t even accept that a car is more than like nine feet long. Ours is fifteen feet long, and even standing next to it, my brain is POSITIVE it’s small enough to fit in a bathroom.

Don’t take my word for it, but although it isn’t inherently linked to dyslexia, pretty sure it can often comorbid with it, although not as often as with ADHD. Which might be why people simply say they have dyslexia, grouping both words & numbers together. One of my old maths teachers said how she had dyslexia but mainly struggled with numbers, so I’m pretty sure this is an example of dyslexia/dyscalculia comorbidity that just gets grouped under dyslexia.
