A 2019 Guide to Shipping by British GQ

(1) Test the waters first, come up with the safest term to name your ship...just in case people start calling you delusional: bromance. However, make sure to keep it ambiguous with the term “your other half”, so that you can gradually ease in your mega ship without being too obvious.

(2) Next step is to give off hints about your ship. You can’t be too obvious yet, so instead of using their real names...let’s just go with their characters’ names.

(3) After February, I guess it’s ok to slowly ease in the name of your ship and hint of them as being a couple. Especially since you know, the second half was rumored to be there during your magazine’s photoshoot of the first half.

(4) Now we come to the part where we just casually throw in the second half’s name as a point of reference and authority on any and all things having to do with the first half. Happy birthday indeed!

(5) nothing special. Just chillin’ and oh so casually hashtagging their names together. Love the laid back vibes of this ship, it’s practically sailing itself by now.

(6) Ah, here we are. What’s the name of your ship then? Say it loud and clear for the people sitting at the back. And yes, spending quality time with your significant other is very important.

Let’s do a little recap. He’s a 80yo soul. His movie crush is Julie Andrews, he holds his mom’s hand at the events, he apologizes to a floor, he doesn’t show his face for a month after backlash, he keeps to himself who is the only person he wants to listen to for the rest of his life but he has a clear picture who that is.
