terfs literally want us dead and are responsible for actual violence against us and comparing anything less than that to terf rhetoric is fucking gross and dismissive and invalidates the fears of trans women
Listen. I’ve seen the exact same arguments being used by ace exclusionists used by terfs to exclude bi people and truscum to exclude anyone they deem “not trans enough.” And the logic they use is the exact same. Terfs are absolutely terrible and harmful to trans women. They are also terrible and harmful to bi, nonbinary and ace folks, and acknowledging this in no way diminishes the severity of what they do to trans folks. Acknowledging that a terrible group of people hurts many other groups of people, using the same faulty arguments over and over again doesn’t somehow say “the harm they do to this one specific group is inconsequential.” If anything it builds the “terfs and truscum are terrible people” argument. It’s important to keep a watchful eye on the sources of different tracks of discourse to see where they overlap. Especially when other people who have been targeted by a hate group before speak up and say “hey, we’ve seen this before. You might be doing what was done to us.”

Not sure how drawing comparisons between historically marginalized groups is pulling an “all lives matter,” but then again nuance is a hell of a concept for some
