Hello hello! Aroallo time!! (◕ᴗ◕✿)

I noticed there wasn't a culture-is blog for being aroallo, and since being aroallo is a super big part of my identity, I thought I should make the blog for it! Here it is, a blog made specifically for aroallos to send in what they think is aroallo culture.

My name is Kiri (she/her), and I'm going to be the main mod on this blog, but other members of my system may help out as well. You can submit through asks or submissions.

DNI: any kind of LGBT+ exclusionist, anti-endogenic, headcanon purist, discourse blog. Please be polite when sending in asks, and please warn at the beginning of your submission if it's a vent.

This blog was inspired by a lot of other culture-is blogs (which you can find a list of on this Carrd), but especially @romo-aro-culture-is, @variorientedcultureis, and @aroace-culture-blog.

That's all I have to say for now! I hope everyone has a great day!

this inspired me to write a bit of a prose poem. It’s not a vent, but it is longer than most of your other submissions

Aroallo culture is when you’re standing at the stove in your tiny laminate box of an apartment, simmering pasta with beef and tomato sauce, and playing lofi from your glitchy Bluetooth speaker, when you hear a knock at your door. Your Tinder hookup comes in, sporting cargo shorts and crocs, and you have a home cooked meal to offer her — after all, it was 2 hours of public transit for her to get here. Aroallo culture is when, after a rambling bouncing rubber-ball path of a conversation, you begin to touch each other. (Trans culture is when neither of you need to focus overmuch on what’s between your thighs.) The light powers down outside the window as she teaches you how to bite and suck at her skin to leave a proper mark. You learn how to let her teeth go deep into you, too. Aroallo culture is when you lay there and look softly into her eyes, stroking her hair into place behind her ear, like they do in the movies, feeling like a colorblind painter dipping your brush into the most brilliant crimson pigment, hoping you’re making something beautiful for her. You listen to her talk about the one time she might have fallen in love, but it’s only a sentence or two before she trails off. She listens to you about the sincere simplicity of a one-night-stand, how it makes you believe in strangers beyond the label ‘stranger’, and she agrees with you that there’s something big and mysterious about how neither of you will see the other again after this.
Aroallo culture is when, a few weeks later, she comes back for another night in order to catch a morning dentist appointment near your place  — super convenient.
