there’s no explanation for why it’s 2019 in TUA but there’s no cellphones and it’s actually hilarious. so much of the plot would fall apart if the umbrellas were just in a gc. klaus would have snapped a picture of the kugelblitz “yo wtf is this bitch” and hit send. five would make sure everyone always had their location services on so he could teleport to them. luther could’ve just texted them that he was kidnapped and everyone would still be like “✔️ seen at 3:39pm”.
