I don’t think you guys get it. Since 1934, there have been 23 midterm elections.

In those, the president’s party has only held or picked up senate seats 6 times.

But you guys. So many of those were with high presidential approval. Biden has around 42%

In the past hundred years, there has only been one other time when the president’s party picked up seats in the senate while the president had sub-50% approval.

1982 under Reagan. He gained one seat.

It should be noted, Reagan also lost 26 seats in the House that year!

My guys. This wasn’t just a break in the red wave. This was a historical election. This was a MASSIVE rebuke of the republican party. Everything in our history says they should’ve picked up quite a few senate seats and WAY more house seats. This was absolutely humiliating for them, and we really have Gen Z to thank. But thank ALL OF YOU who voted. This was INCREDIBLE.
