If you’re willing to suddenly forgive Blizzard despite their pathetic non-apology statement just because “omg tracer keeps a pic of her girlfriend???? omg we stan 😍😍😍” or however the fuck you talk, then you shouldn’t be allowed to play any games ever again.

and of course the first example I found had to be from a fucking Polygon journalist

Companies like Blizzard can and will use women, POC, and LGBT people as smokescreens to hide behind whatever shady behavior they may be engaging in. People need to remember this.

They really just went: oh shit the internet hates for siding with a totalitarian regime, now we made our first black female character so they can't be mad :)

Overwatch had y’all wait for years for a playable Black woman and then named her Sojourn. I’m...

except her name is loosely based off of sojourner truth’s and she’s been in ow lore for years

Yeah...that was m’point....I recognized the reference right away lol

When you’re Black and someone tries to hand you a Black history fact that you knew since you were 5 years old

And she won’t be playable for some time she’s coming out with OW2

Overwatch got hit with that backlash and was like "oop! Time to do damage control" and pushed out the worst design ever. I'm fr sorry for all y'all bc I already knoooow the musty nerds gon tell y'all "YoU sHoUlD bE gRaTeFuL" when you point this out

“Hey, Shimada-San!”

Hanzo turns around at the words, ready to pick a fight with whoever was soliciting him in the Gibraltar hallways at 10 in the morning- then nearly chokes at the sight behind him.

Winston. In a suit.

Hanzo swallows dryly, trying to keep his eyes above the thick, hairy legs in pinstriped black and grey, above the thick bulging biceps in a midnight black blazer, the vest tucked under a deep blue, the tie a crisp white-

The sound of a clearing throat has his eyes snapping up to the gorilla’s. His cheeks heat and he feels a pang of embarrassment at being caught. He crosses his arms, suddenly conscious of the sweatpants and hoodie combination he’s wearing.

“I, uh…I didn’t see you at church this morning,” Winston continues. “Are you doing okay?”

Hanzo’s heart flutters at the concern, and he quickly squashes it down. Winston is simply concerned about a fellow agents capabilities.

“Yes, I am quite well. How was the mass?”

Winston nods in understanding, goes along with the change in subject. “Fine. I feel you would’ve appreciated the Homily.”

Hanzo blinks. “Oh? What was it about?”

“Father Junkrat spoke of…forgiveness. Forgiving oneself allows us to forgive others more easily, more readily.” Winston moves past him slowly while talking, but pauses by Hanzo’s shoulder.

He brushes a single monkey-hand down his arm.

Hanzos breath gets caught in his throat, and he fights the urge to grab his hand and pull him flush against him.

Winston sighs. “There are people who love you, Hanzo. You just have to believe it.”

He lumbers away after that, leaving Hanzo stricken with a clusterfuck of emotions.

Winston was everything he’d ever wanted and needed. Forgiveness…

He allows himself to indulge in the fantasy of forgiveness, of feeling worthy enough to walk up to Winston and kiss him senseless.

He shakes his head, resolutely walks away with an aching chest.

Winston, though being a literal gorilla, was more of a man than Hanzo could ever hope to be.

blizzards misogynistic fanbase has driven several female korean fanartists and game developers out of their fucking career fields for identifying as mildly feminist and dva after spending maybe a few weeks as a symbol of women’s empowerment in the native country she represents continues to be infantilized and sexualized for white men by the very game that created her. cute
