Do I wish Benedict had been honoured for his portrayal in The Power of the Dog? Of course. But honestly? Give me plenty of nominations and a beautiful love and family life over any award. Yes both can happen and I believe one day it will, but awards lose their lustre while love is forever. 💗
Find yourself someone who loves to dance as much as you do. Benedict clearly accomplished that. Go Sophie!

Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch was honored with the Cinema Vanguard Award at the 37th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival. He received the award on Wednesday, March 9th following an in-person conversation about his career leading up to this year’s performance in Jane Campion’s THE POWER OF THE DOG from Netflix.
