Yesterday, I found out that @sansastrrk is a reposter. And not just a regular reposter, but one that takes other people’s gifs, and then edits them and passes them off as theirs. After all, they tag them as my edit. Yesterday, I got really upset by this. Yesterday, I contemplated DMing them to talk about it, but if they were willing to edit other people’s work and then tag it as theirs, they clearly knew what they were doing and would most likely adamantly deny everything. Yesterday, I’ve decided that it is not worth the drama and wanted to let it go. Today, however, is not yesterday. Today, I saw ‘their edit’ cross my dash and I got upset again and then I got mad, and now we’re here.
EXAMPLE ONE:
They have a ‘Sophie Turner does yoga’ edit HERE, the gifs from which originally came from my Sophie edit HERE. I saw it because a mutual reblogged it and thought I was going insane because wow that looks exactly like my edit, just in b&w. Observe:
B&W gifs are ‘theirs’ and vivid are mine.
I DMed @bettysnooper to confirm that I’m not seeing things, as well as @swainlake, both have agreed these are my gifs, but desaturated, and @swainlake also explained that the reason Sophie’s face looks blurry in b&w gifs is because that happens when somebody takes a vibrant colouring and desaturates it without fiddling with curves later to balance it out.
To further comifrm my suspicions, I popped both gifs into PS and put them one over the other — when I use LIGHTEN blending, they not only lined up perfectly, but they had the same number of frames.
EXAMPLE TWO:
They posted a Jon x Sansa edit HERE, where they took a gif from my edit HERE and broke the gif into two gifs, slowed them down, and desaturated them. Observe:
I then opened all gifs in PS, sped up the b&w gifs, and put them over my vivd gif. The frames and sizing, once again, aligned perfectly:
Naturally, this made me super suspicious of their entire edit tag. So I went to investigate it.
EXAMPLE THREE:
They have an Arya edit posted HERE, that is once again, a stolen edit, in this case, it was @ladystarks from her edit HERE. Observe:
These are clearly @ladystarks’s gifs, just slowed down and desaturated.
Am I about to bring out more receipts? Yes, I am. Because this person didn’t just cannibalise the content of GOT fandom creators, they also hit The 100 fandom.
EXAMPLE FOUR:
They have a Memori edit HERE, that was stolen from @shialablunt HERE. The gifs were desaturated and cropped down from 540x255 to 540x250. (Thank you, @ladystarks for finding these!)
EXAMPLE FIVE:
They posted a Clarke & Raven edit HERE, that was taken from @montygreen HERE, that went through the same machinations as other examples I listed.
Just in case, I popped The 100 gifs into photoshop to check, and all of them have the same number of frames and align when I put one over the other.
In conclusion, this is A LOT of evidence, so I will not be searching for more, despite how suspicious their myedit tag looks like. I ask people TO NOT SEND THEM HATE OR HARASS THEM, that is unacceptable behaviour and anyone who will do that is no friend of mine. I strongly encourage to not interact or engage with them at all, to not reblog their stolen content, and I, for one, will be blocking their main @sansastrrk and their sideblog @thefibrodiaries as soon as I finish this post.
Honestly if they put some stupid contrived roadblocks anywhere near Bughead I’m gunna lose it, be more original please.
They always break them up at some point but they are back together 2 or 3 episodes later
I know which in some ways is even worse, the stunning lack of ingenuity. I mean it’s so cheap and Pedestrian, they can do better!! Hope it’s all just talk.
The "issue" that the writers who want to explore other ships have created for themselves is that Bughead has been written so well, and so solidly, that there has been left such little room to write in problems for them that would actually make sense and remain true to character, and to their dynamic. They are so mature as a pairing, that breaking them up at this point seems redundant and if the writers dare try it, something big would have to happen to separate them in a way that keeps them both in character, and in that case, they will be walking a fine line of destroying the pairing entirely forever.
