The marriage mechanic in Three Houses is more acceptable to me because there are no kids and it’s only the avatar (who is way less annoying than Robin/Corrin) but I will always be more interested in relationships between non-avatar characters, which makes it hard for me to want Byleth to marry anyone.
All this to say that as much as I adore Dimitri I don’t want to marry him because like…Dimitri’s relationship with Dedue is so interesting and sweet and I’m into it.
Tbh I hella want to marry Claude but that option isn’t available to me without bailing on Dimitri, which I’m not going to do since I only have time for one playthrough.
Which means that if I get my act together and actually get the A supports, I’m choosing from the options of Dorothea, Mercedes, Lindhardt, and Ashe in terms of characters I find marriageable and characters who don’t have another relationship that I’m super invested in (yet).
Tbh I’ll probably marry Dorothea because she’s so mean to most of the boys and she’s super flirty to f!Byleth and I’m very into it.
ALSO it has occurred to me that if I had Byleth marry Dimitri my heart literally couldn’t handle it, I swear I blushed in real life when Claude winked at Byleth during the dance lol
