Im having an epiphany oh my gods I just had a realization and it took me two fucking years to get here but I finally did. 2016 dreamworks Voltron and fandom Voltron are two completely different shows. they literally are two completely different shows that started diverging after season 1 and that’s why we’re consistantly being disappointed with what dw does
so i just finished season 7 against my will thanks paige @smolgay-bean and??? @ all of yall saying this season was good outside of adam wym???

one of which is implausibly too fucking big to do anything?? keith says “give it all we got” 3 seperate times in one episode??? voltron full on Dies like 3 times and comes back???? an altean was eva piloting the thing chromr voltron the whole time??? what the fuck

what about a show receiving completely justified criticism makes yall think you’re some fandom godsend angels for praising showrunners and kissing their assess for brownie points like
theres a difference between harassing a showrunner, criticizing their choices and defending them blindly
"stop pretending that you care about lgbt rep" they say

All they had to was shut up. Shut up and not say anything. They could’ve gotten off easier.
But no. They had to say there was gonna be rep, they had to promise its fans that there was gonna be development, they had to propel off the hype of other series who worked thrice as hard to get their rep approved, and what was the result? Everybody being angry with them and threatening to quit the show.
All they had to do was shut. the fuck. up.
