Be careful. People will hurt you.

“Hey!” Peter shouts out. The image of him dying flashes in her mind for the seventeenth time that day, a high number, even for her. “Any gits who judge us can go to hell.” He crosses his arm defiantly and her vision goes darker.

“You don’t realize. None of you realize. Not that it surprises me. You,” she points to Peter, “are so obsessed with your own life you don’t realize anything else. News flash, there are bigger problems than your brothers not spending time with you. And you!” She points to Raivis, who flinches accordingly, the idiot. “You’re so nervous you can’t say a single word without fucking stuttering. Anyone would be able to break you two without even lifting a finger!” Her voice is shrill and high and she knows it but she also can’t bring herself to care.

People will hurt you. You can’t worry to much about yourself, you have to worry for both of you. Both of you do, and that means letting go of your fear. People will hurt you by using each other instead of using their fists.

“D-d-don’t insult him!” Raivis finally manages to get out. It’s the first time he’s spoke, and Natalia feels accomplished.

Hi, amazing art!!!

... loud. There are a lot of them, I think more than usual. It sound like they're having a party, I'll check.

On the decking are Erin and Alistair. I don't know Erin very well as she lives in Ireland, but Alistair is usually the one running the skate hire and he seems nice, if loud.

Next to them are Peter and Wendy, who are usually screaming and attempting to either have a snowball fight on the ice, or do camel spins (which of course they can't). They have no in between, and they're the same off the ice.

And next to them, hopefully keeping an eye on them, is Mrs Vic. She owns the rink, and is actually vaguely scary.

Somehow Arthur is running the barbecue, so it's only a matter of time before the fire brigade arrives. He's my skating coach, and he's good at that, but cooking? Not such a strong point. Luckily Jett's there, and he's probably able to stop him from burning anything too important. Probably.

From what I can hear, Dylan and Pat are teasing Matthew about his recent growthspurt. Good. He's too tall, just like my big brother.

I am American and I have never seen photos like this. I had no idea there are borders like this. Even though I LOVE the idea of open borders, I am staring at these pictures like “wait…people can just…walk across some stones or grass and BE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY??? and nobody stops them?? how does that WORK?!” So you can tell that my country’s propaganda has gotten to me by convincing me that this CAN’T work even though…it…obviously can. These pics just seem unreal to me. I’ve been taught my whole life that this can’t exist. In 27 years no one has ever sat me down and gone, look, here’s how it is elsewhere. It isn’t impossible at all.

I want to add something, but I’d just be restating what they said. I.. didn’t know peace and kindness like this was possible.

It's really funny on school trips when you've had your head in a book or watching a movie, you look out the window and the signs are all in French, because sometimes you don't work out it's changed language and are still trying to puzzle out the German meaning.

Hey other hetalia fans

The treatment of South Korea in the manga is disgusting and the idea of Korea ‘claiming’ to have invented things we associated with Japan is fucked up when you consider Japan’s imperialistic history and 1) how much the Japanese have adopted/outright stolen from Korea historically and 2) How much of Japanese culture was forced upon Koreans.

Even if you wanna argue that Hidekaz is not an outright nationalist you have to at least admit that his depiction of Korea is fucked up and comes from nationalistic roots.

Like I don’t want to play the whole guilt card but this is important for us westerners to be aware of like it would be the same if someone tried to claim that Poland stole all of their culture from Germany and Russia so it’s pretty important to spread this because the average fan is around 13-16 years old and might not know how harmful this sorta thinking is.
