You immediately knew something happened when Daishou walked up to you with a smile on his face that never truly reached his eyes.

By now your red-haired best friend had calmed down, with his reddened eyes and slightly flushed face being the only evidence of his crying. The two of you were standing on the side of the huge room, Tendou happily chirping about something while you smiled softly, taking interest in his story.

You were quickly reminded of just how much you had missed this, missed him.

Were you really being this distant? You couldn’t have been. You were just committed to your boyfriend, your relationship, weren’t you? Wasn’t this normal?

“Mind if I steal her for a bit?” Your best friend however didn’t see anything wrong with Daishou’s almost devilish smile - well, that’s how a part of you perceived it, to anyone else it probably was a regular smile - and nodded, claiming he needed to go to the restroom anyways. Your boyfriend’s hand on your waist he led you to a secluded corner.

A hushed greeting left your lips, however he stayed silent, only urging you to hurry as he was tugging on your waist.

Soon after you found yourselves disappearing behind a curtain, your body immediately being pushed against a cold surface.

so, i’ve been noticing lately that english speakers that don’t support neopronouns have been saying stuff like “neopronouns are for americans, no one else uses neopronouns in other languages! they’re confusing to non-natives!” and it honestly upsets me SO MUCH, because that’s simply not true! neopronouns exist all around the world, and i’m here to speak for hispanic neopronoun users as an argentine myself.

spanish has neopronouns, hispanics use neopronouns! it’s not debatable!

spanish does not have an equivalent to they/them, “someone dropped their wallet, if i find them i’ll give it back to them” would be “a alguien se le cayó su billetera, si lo encuentro se la devolveré” (someone dropped his wallet, if i find him i’ll give it back to him).

so, since there’s many non-binary people that felt like they needed a gender-neutral pronoun for themselves, elle/le was invented as opposed to él/lo.

as you may know, a neopronoun is a pronoun that is not official to a language, and since elle/le is not official to spanish, it’s a neopronoun to us.

and no, this isn’t our only neopronoun.

we have others such as elli/li, ellu/lu, il/li, etc. that do not have a translation to english, kinda like how xe/xem, ze/zir, ae/aer, etc. do not have a translation to spanish.

and yes, these are actually used, and not only online: i’ve had many friends in my country that used these pronouns among nounself pronouns (a friend that used él/ella/elli/quack, another one that used elle/ella, etc.)

so, i’ve made an il/li/-i pronoun flag!

il/li are pronouns derived from italian, and they’re one of the most common neopronouns around here!

“It’s okay. It looks like you won’t be having a significant other this Valentine’s day either.”

He leaned his head backwards, laughing. With you being sassy like that, he just loved it. Placing a soft kiss on your cheek, he pressed you close to him. “Tell me why are you so cute?”

You returned the kiss and replied, “I think you know that better than me.” You winked at him, which made him chuckle. While you walked a little further, he just suddenly stopped, realizing, “Hey, will you actually break up with me if I forgot about Valentine’s?”

You laughed. What a dork.

𖥸TSUKISHIMA “Where are we going today?” You excitedly asked him, but he just looked at you querulously.

“Huh?”

You just stared at him. Is this true? It’s your first Valentine’s together and… “I-I…I just thought since it’s Valentine’s- Never mind.” You waved away. Your very first impression of Tsukki was that he’s a very detached guy. What were you even expecting?

Seeing that small pout on your face, he caved in He laughed and smiled at you softly, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear before holding your hand. He leaned down to whisper in your ear. “I have seats reserved for dinner tonight, shortcake.”

𖥸OIKAWA You met him outside the gym after his practice. He rushed to you with a worried expression on his face. “Y/N-chan! It’s Valentine’s today!”

“Yes, it is.”

He rubbed the back of his head. “Uhmmm…actually, about that. I forgot it’s today.” You sighed. “You always do, Tooru.”

“Hey I do not! You’re so mean Y/N-chan! I can’t believe you’ll actually think I’ll forget. Can’t you remember? I even kissed you while we’re riding the ferriswheel last year! And tonight, I-“

Before he could even continue, you already pressed your lips on his cute little pout, giving him a peck. “Silly, I know you’re pranking me. Who will believe you when you have bunch of roses sticking out of your backpack?”

His eyes widened upon realization and you both laughed at each other with him pressing his forehead against yours while wrapping an arm around you. “You really got me bad, huh?”

𖥸 OSAMU He was approaching your usual spot and saw your gloomy expression. "Did something happen?" He asked, but immediately figured it all out as if he could read your mind. "Ahhh...is it about the exams?" You nodded your head and he chucked, sitting beside you. "'m pretty sure you did better than my brother." You elbowed him, playfully. Despite your worries, he still made you snort out a little laugh. "Here, say ahhh..." "Huh?" You reacted, a little puzzled, yet he already fed you with a mouthful of onigiri. "Do you like it? Is it delicious?" You nodded your head in agreement. "It's the best I made so far, because I know you gave your best." He pressed his forehead against yours. "Though the real best thing is seeing you smile so pretty." You blushed and he grinned at you so dearly, "There...there's my angel."

𖥸 KITA After listening to your worries, his heart couldn't help but feel a little ache seeing you like that. He tucked strands of your hair behind you ear and pulled you into his arms, wrapping you in his warmth. "Shhhh...Shhh..." He gently, pressed your head onto his chest, lovingly brushing your hair with his fingers. "Don't ever say that to yourself. Don't push yourself too hard, okay?" It pains me to see you that way. He wanted to say that to you, but he hesitated, thinking that he didn't want to smother you. Instead, he nuzzled close to your head, inhaling every essence of you into his being. In his arms, there's nothing more than he wanted you to feel right now, but, "I'm so proud of you. I'm very proud of you, love."
