My @vldexchange contribution for Shiro’s Birthday! My partner was the lovely Cookie. I miss their Season 1 aesthetic/outfits so I thought I’d do a throwback <3 Done in watercolors.
How do you manage to draw elaborate backgrounds? I absolubtely LOVE your technique and especially the background it almost feels like i'm in the painting as well love love LOVE it especially the sea/marine ones I stan you now
Wow, thank you so much! To be honest I’ve struggled with backgrounds for years and I’m making a very conscious choice to try and render them more. If I figure out a technique that makes it easier I’ll be sure to share

Watercolor background studies - some are light studies, others are for atmosphere and some are just meditative. Clearly I have a very intimate relationship with trees.

Regarding Tumblrs new TOS
Concerning Tumblr’s new policy - I will be updating this Tumblr very little. I’m sad because I enjoy all of the fandom art that I can consume and also share with everyone. For those who are looking for me elsewhere:
If I make more accounts I will share them here as well. Take care everyone and stay safe!
Do u know where lohkays blog went? I can’t find it anywhere... did she make a new one? Thx
Lohkay can be found on Twitter, Instagram and Pixiv under the handle ‘lohkaydraws’ but her Tumblr was deleted along with a number of other nsfw artists after the site was removed from the Apple Store. There’s a lot of conflicting information on whether pages or accounts will be restored, but I doubt it.
