My wifey Tayler Montague (aka Lil Chopped Cheese), the multi-hyphenate super talent (Programmer, Critic, Archivist, Writer/Director) directed her first film In Sudden Darkness last year. ISD will have it’s world premiere at this years BlackStar Film Festival Thursday 20 August at 5:30pm during the Kindred Shorts Block. The synopsis:
A slice of life film set in the Bronx, New York—In Sudden Darkness follows the life of the Moores, a working-class family trying to stay afloat in the midst of a city-wide blackout.
The streets of NY were bootlegging an early cut of the film so you know its great!! Check it out!
BlackStar is virtual this year so if you aren’t in Philly you can watch! Day passes are $5.00. ISD is playing on the 20th. Tickets are available here.
