Hello! Do you know of any tutorials on how to make hair color actions? Thanks in advance!

hey there! i’m not finding a tutorial specifically for creating hair color actions, but these resources should get you started:

if you’re new to creating actions/recoloring hair, downloading and playing around with some existing hair recoloring actions (like these, these or these) might give you a better idea of what you want to do with your hair recoloring actions!

Do you know if there are any video tutorials about creating custom S4 sliders? I know that there are some pictorials, but I learn better with real time visuals. I would really appreciate it, and even if there are none, I thank you for your time<3

hey there! unfortunately i’m not finding anything, but if anyone knows of any good video resources on creating sliders, please let us know! sorry i couldn’t be more helpful :(

downloads page how-to!

hey all! someone submitted a post that i think was supposed to be an ask so i’m going to ‘answer’ it here :) “hi how do i make a downloads page for my blog btw im a beginner so please make it simple”

making new pages on your tumblr is pretty simple & we have reblogged some page themes that work very well for download directories, but they generally require a lot of editing within their codes - if you’re not comfortable with css/html, it may be easier to use a tag on your blog (like mycc or mydownloads, etc.) as a way to quickly & easily link to all of your downloads.

if you do want to attempt using a custom page theme, here’s what to do, straight from the tumblr help center:

  1. Click “Add a page” in the Pages section of your Customize menu.
  2. Select "Custom Layout" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Insert custom code into the HTML Editor.

hopefully this helps! let us know if you have any other questions!

you know how some people are able to get their create a sim layout (like where you pick the hair, clothing, and other stuff) it’s normally 2 items wide, how do people make it like 3 and 4 and 5 wide?

hey there! i believe the only was to do this is with a mod; it looks like there are at least a few options out there. i have not used any of these mods personally so please do your research before installing!

if anyone has any other suggestions for similar mods, feel free to comment or reblog with info! :)

Maxis Match Speech And Thought Bubbles

I didn’t plan on reuploading these but a few people asked and I could no longer find the ones other people had made, so here ya go! It is a PSD, just place whatever icons you want, merge the layers, copy and paste it onto your screenshot and scale to your liking ♥

I’ve always wanted to have moodlets on my gameplay screenshots but no matter what I did, they were always destroyed after editing, would get pixelated when I tried blowing them up a bit, and look like doughy mess when I tried softening them. So I made some PSD format templates that are as close to EA’s as possible.

They are 538 x 302 so they won’t lose their resolution when scaled down. You get a happy/green base moodlet, as well as 12 other ones for each mood. Each layer is labeled, you can edit the text fields for each moodlet, and the moodlet bar (the colored part) then when you’re satisfied just hide merge the visible layers, copy it and paste it onto your screenshot, and scale to your liking! You can find all the moodlets here on the Sims Wikia.

SONDER; a photoshop action dump by intramoon.

Some of the colorgrades and adjustment styles I have created or experimented with in recent months with some new ones. Most of which were PSDs I have converted to photoshop actions so they are easier to use! They range from very simple effects to stronger coloring effects. Hope you find they work for you! 35 PHOTOSHOP ACTIONS TOTAL.

I did not include previews because there are a few too many, if you want to see previews of any actions before downloading you can send me an ask. Sorry for the inconvenience.

All of the photoshop actions included;

  • Cinematic Add-On (simple curves adjustments)
  • Dramatic Add-On (simple curves adjustments)
  • Richness Add-On (simple gradient map adjustments)
  • Muted Add-On (simple curves adjustments)
  • Color Correction V1 (neutralizes and removes warm tones)
  • Color Correction V2 (neutralizes and removes red tones)
  • Color Correction V3 (neutralizes and removes cool tones)
  • Bright and Saturated; saturated, vibrant, and bright color adjustments.
  • Belladonna; a purple, mint and red/orange colorgrade.
  • Strawberry Blossom; pink and purple colorgrade.
  • Poppy Seed; a red, orange and slight cyan colorgrade.
  • Wildflower; subtle colorgrade with gold tones.
  • Margold; subtle colorgrade with orange tones.
  • Garden Rose; subtle colorgrade with pink tones.
  • Snap Dragon; subtle colorgrade with purple tones.
  • Corn Flower; subtle colorgrade with blue tones.
  • Willow; subtle colorgrade with gray tones.
  • Grunge V1; grunge colorgrade with warm tones.
  • Grunge V2; grunge colorgrade with cool tones.
  • Grunge V3;  grunge colorgrade with dark gray tones.
  • Vintage V1; warm yellow vintage colorgrade.
  • Vintage V2; warm orange vintage colorgrade.
  • Onyx; cool-toned monochrome, black and white effect.
  • Earl Grey; cinematic colorgrade with cool tones.
  • Elderflower; cinematic colorgrade with muted green tones.
  • Saffron; cinematic colorgrade with warm to neutral tones.
  • Jasmine; cinematic colorgrade with muted yellow and green tones.
  • More Pink Reds
  • More Orange Yellows
  • More Turquoise Greens
  • More Cyan Blues
  • Less Blue Blacks
  • Immersion Bars
  • Black Borders V1
  • Black Borders V2

INFORMATION;

  • Created with Photohshop 2020; recommend for Photoshop 2017 or newer. Will work with some older versions.
  • The photohshop actions are not destructive i.e. they will not merge all your layers and the adjustments can be deleted easily.
  • All the actions default to an opacity of 50% - 75%, if you’d like to turn down/up opacity of the overall effects adjust the opacity of the “Adjustment Layer” group.
  • You can open the “Adjustment Layer” group and more fine tune the effects if you’d like.

I like to give my townies some skills and traits to add to their personality even if I don’t play them, so that’s where this generator comes in! I’d like to add to it in the future with things like activities and favorites, but you guys were interested in it as is so here’s the link (it looks a lot better on mobile)!
I’m still trying to figure out how to fix the traits so that you don’t end up with any that conflict one another, but in the mean time here is a more in depth generator for traits, and here’s some other random sim generators!
If you’re familiar with perchance, you’re more than welcome to edit this as much or as little as you want for personal use! If you’re not, I’ll start working on some little tutorials so you can customize it for you and your game. Let me know if you have any ideas, if anything needs to be fixed, or just feel free to show me what sims you come up with! thank u! :-)

Joie de Vivre

God, I love making palettes.. This one is the “Joie de Vivre” Palette and I adore it! I made it for a rather big project I’m working on at the moment (hint, hint). These are shades that I associate with Shabby Chic living and it contains all my favorite colours ever. Maybe you’ll have some fun with it, too! <3

if there’s one thing i get in my inbox a ton, it would be to either make a tutorial on creating cc or linking to tutorials i use a lot! i’ll be honest, all i ever did to find these tuts when i needed them was use google. But i figured it would be good to create a masterlist for both myself and everybody else who would need one!!

update: putting this under a read more link so that i can keep adding to it!

Updated as of 5/13/2018!

TRAITS TEMPLATE (PSD)

@issharky requested this, and I think it’ll be super useful for character pages or portraits. God knows I’ve spent way too long handtooling screenshots of this thing from CAS trying to get it to look good in edits.

  • Document is 540 x 540, the actual graphic is 419 x 228
  • If you want your icons to fit exactly as they look in CAS you’ll need to make sure you scale down your icons to 54 x 54, 72 x 72 for the aspiration icon
  • Once you’re done editing, hide the background layer and merge all visible layers, then copy and paste it onto your screenshot after you’re done editing it.

anyway i wanted a cool maxis-y pattern palette inspired by bowling alley carpet.

comes with 14 very large, hq png files. no ps actions because thats hard to do with images, but hope you enjoy nonetheless!

Nolan-Sims Here.

Following EA’s rebranding of the Sims 4, almost all existing images or graphics of the series are no longer supported. This, in turn, affects the wonderful blog icons @ohmysims404 made for use around Simblr. So, I ended up updating the existing code & replacing the old images with the new icons. I plan on keeping them up to date, so feel free to revisit this post when a new pack releases!

(via the original post) HOW TO USE: Click here to see the code. Copy the code and delete the line which has the name of EPs/GPs/SPs you don’t have & paste it into your theme HTML. If you own all of the EPs/GPs/SPs, etc. you do not need to edit the code. Since every theme has a different layout, paste it where it is applicable to you. In most cases, pasting the code into the description section of your theme via edit mode works best.

If the code above isn’t shown in your browser, click this link.

***Update - June 5th, 2020

  • Added Eco Lifestyle to EPs
  • Updated PSD File
