As much as I have a distaste for Chris Hardwick I did like that he called out Gimple for not letting Danai Gurira keep the sword she spent 7 years of her life mastering. I cackled when he told Gimple he has enough money to make a replica, give the woman her sword. I agree. Norman has stolen way more expensive things from the set, and nobody batted an eye. I know Danai is too classy to be a thief, but they owe it to her after how much money she made AMC. I know many black women, me included, were only watching this show for Danai.
Michonne has been my favourite character since she first appeared on The Walking Dead all those years ago. It’s been great watching her on my screen.
Danai Gurira is a rare talent and I am so thankful to her for having brought Michonne to life for us.
The love of Michonne has brought so many of us together in TWD/Richonne fandom. I am grateful that the love of this amazing character led me to befriend so many amazing, supportive, and talented individuals from around the world.
It’s been wonderful, and at times tough, but I could not have asked for a better fandom to grow with. For better friends and shipmates.
Thank you Danai Gurira! Your Michonne has gifted me with so many years of pleasure and happiness.
I cannot wait to see what’s next for her.
