its actually massively disrespectful to watch people cater the palestinian cause to white people as if the vast majority of these whites werent rabid zionists months ago

and watching white people riding the wave for themselves. there was an organization at my school who did a field day for palestine and there was a segment of "dance party for a free palestine" like actually you should kill yourself

i truly dont understand trying to make this more "fun" this is not meant to be fucking "fun". palestinians are being massacred. we dont know the actual number of those dead or under the rubble. like i cant comprehend looking at an event so vile and disturbing and turning around and going "let's try and make this FUN!"

every time there is a massive call to action for the aid of people (palestine, sudan, congo, jordan, haiti, hawaii, blm, and many MANY more), there is always a massive influx of white people who never fail at trying to water down the goals of the protests and morphing these movements as something more palatable for the white psyche meanwhile POC have been dealing with the harsh reality of these situations and are even having their voices drowned out by white people.

They always find a way to center themselves in things that aren't catered to them or focused on them and its tiring and sickening. (see the black square posts for blm and the move for defunding of police forces when it should be ABOLISHING police forces and then for Palestine its a call for ceasefire when it SHOULD be the dismantle of Israel)

It's actually really insulting to say "Well *i* protested the iraq/afghanistan war so not all westerners are bad" when people still worship veterans from iraq and Afghanistan in their everyday life. Like come on, have some awareness, most of the American public does not think the iraq war was a massacre campaign.
