Please understand I haven’t beaten the game yet and so there’s story bits that I still don’t understand/seen, so this blog is still a WIP.))

Little Ben gave a small giggle after being booped on the nose. Ben hadn’t known Morgan aside from the stories told by his father about when he was a young child and they would visit Morgan from time to time. He was always amazed to hear that his grandmother knew a real queen. This would be a story to tell his fellow classmates back at school.

He listened intently to Morgan’s story. He didn’t understand a lot of her story mostly about the guards or what paperwork was but he did know what a food fight was. He was a little surprised to hear that Morgan was more like him and his friends than the stories about queens lead him to believe. The stories always painted queens to be ‘proper’ ladies but here Morgan was, saying that she was like him and his friends. He kept a smile after hearing her story as she seemed happy and that made him happy.

Rebecca chuckled a little as she remembered that food fight. Good memories. That did lead her to think about the other royals of Nohr. It had been so long since she talked with Elise or Camilla. Perhaps she should ask Morgan about how they are doing. She waited till Morgan was finished speaking to ask her a question.

“How are Camilla and Elise doing Morgan?” Rebecca asked.

Morgan done with all her story telling she turned back to Rebecca, well okay not before giving Ben a pat on the head. The queen loved talking about her family, and knew that Rebecca hasn’t gotten to talk with everyone much lately.

But even thinking of her siblings hurts a little, it’s like time doesn’t care of anyone’s feelings.

“Well you know Camilla, much like you she doesn’t go out much anymore, it’s... it’s becoming to be hard for her nowadays. But she’s still as doting as ever, I think she’s really happy with her choices after the war. I don’t know, she just seems happier now. As for Elise...”

Sometimes it was hard to believe Elise is really the same girl who would help her with her childish pranks back in the fortress.

“Well, Elise is amazing! I keep forgetting how grown up she is, sometimes I feel like the younger sister when I’m around her. It’s almost weird, and yet I’m so happy every time I see her. She truly is one of the best healers out there, and I’d say she’s still the brightest light in all of Nohr~”

“I’m happy that we met in this life too. Maybe we will meet in another life.” Rebecca said as she softly looked at Morgan than to her family. It had been so long since they had all been together again. Everyone was always so busy. Her children with their children, herself being in a state where she couldn’t move around much, and Morgan with ruling a country. She didn’t blame them for it, things just happen but it was such a shame that her being near death was the only way that they could all see each other again.

“I use to have a list like that. Everything I wanted to see and do before I died. I wrote it down a long time ago but I lost it somewhere. It doesn’t matter now. All I want to do is see you all again and just chat. I want to know how everyone is doing.” Rebecca said softly. “Plus I don’t think Steven and the others mind you being here. It’s been ages since you last saw them and when they last saw you.”

Steven and the others all nodded to show that they were ok with Morgan being there. Steven’s youngest son, Ben, hadn’t met their auntie Morgan and had heard stories about her being a Queen.

“Ben loved hearing the stories about our adventures Morgan.” Rebecca said as Ben looked up to his grandmother then to Morgan. “You should tell him what it’s like to be a queen.”

“I’ll be sure to tell you about everyone from back in the army, I’ll tell you how everyone is doing these days!” Morgan gave Rebecca’s shoulder a light pat before turning towards the young boy.

It wouldn’t hurt to tell him a story or two, and it’s nice to finally meet him and so the first thing the queen did was poke his nose. The normal thing for her to do to all family and friends, but now it’s time for story time.

“Hi Ben, you already know this but I’m Morgan, princess of Nohr and Hoshido, and Queen of Valla. Now-” she held up a finger. “-the first thing you need to know about being the queen is that it’s nothing like the fairy tales, it’s hard and everyone is always looking towards you for help. But it’s also worth it when you see how happy your people can truly be. Even if I have to do boring paper work, and fight with my own guards about if something is safe or not, oh and let’s not forget all the meetings with the other kingdoms! But those aren’t so bad because it’s mean I can see my family~”

She sat down on the ground as she talks about Valla and her work, a big smile on her face the whole time.

“But you know that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun, we have lots of fun. Like that time everyone and the castle got into a huge food fight! I had to help clean everything up afterwards because it was my idea in the first place, acutally I’m pretty sure I’m still banned from the kitchen after all these years...”

Rebecca grabbed some of the Nohrian berries after Morgan handed them to her. She popped one into her mouth. After taking some bites, Rebecca’s smile came back in full bloom. It was just like she remembered. So sweet. The taste just flooded her mouth.

She turned to Morgan after Morgan began to say thanks. “There’s no need to say thanks. I will always be happy to have a sister like you. I don’t blame you for your initial thoughts about us. Given how we appeared, I would have thought the same thing if I haven’t actually been there.” Rebecca mused. She gave a slight laugh. 

Morgan laughed. “Yeah, but weird or not I’m happy we’ve met in this life. And... And hopefully we’ll get to meet in the next one two.”

The queen took a bite out of her own food, this is meant to be Rebecca’s day- or week, however long she has left. So she better step up and make sure her friend gets to do everything she wants.

“So, I know you’re most likely stuck in bed but... is there anything you really want to do? Don’t people have like lists of things they want to do in life before...you know. And I’m not trying to take up all your time or anything, I’m sure you want time with your kids and grandkids. So just let me know if I’m overstaying, okay?”
