Since I started having the visions, it made me feel depressed, they started to come more often without warning and took a lot of energy out of me. Laying on my bed, I stare towards the ceiling, my cheeks stained with tears. I lean over to my bag and pull out a bear my dad gave me when I was a baby.
I’ve noticed the toll on my daughter and wanted to help but since I’ve never had powers like hers I don’t know if I can, one day I finished baking cookies and went up stairs to her room and see my daughter crying, holding a bear I’ve never seen before. “cookies?”
Hearing you enter my bedroom. I just look at you and shake my head for a “no” to the cookies. I can’t remember the last time I had something to eat or even spoke. I turn my head back to looking at the ceiling.
I frown looking at you, I put the cookies on your bedside table and sit down on a free space on your bed “you know I may not have the same powers as you but that doesn’t mean I don’t want you to come to me with your worries so I can help”
I keep staring up not making eye contact. “I’m just a freak!” I sob out trying not to cry anymore. “I should just get threw back in Arkham.” I hold the bear close to my chest.
“no don’t say that, your meant to be here with me” I go over to you and hold you close and not letting go despite your efforts until you just break down and cry into my shoulder.
Once the tears start coming I can’t stop them. I hold you close not wanting to be left alone. “I’m sorry.”
My own eyes start tearing, “my darling it’s nothing to be ashamed of when I was first changed everything felt wrong, I couldn’t eat like normal, I kept hearing voices and my parents were trying to change me back to what I wasn’t”
“What should I do?” I ask still wrapped in your arms.the pain has subsided at the moment which I am happy for.
I think for a minute before looking down at you “what calms you down?”
I think for a while and smile. “You calm me, my head has stopped hurting.”
I smile “then how about I make you a special calming potion so that when I’m not here all you need to do is put on a tiny bit and it will feel like I am here, how does that sound?”
“Do you think it will help?” I question curiously. “I want to be my old self again.”
“I know and sweetie all we do at this point until you have progressed in co trolling your powers is try to help you unfortunately I wish we could do more but this isn’t really known”
“I’m willing to try anything to help.” I lay down and rest my head on your lap, finding it comforting.
I run my hand through your hair while you lay there “don’t forget no matter what you can come to me with your problems or worries I won’t judge you”
“I know, thank you.” I smile sleepily. “I’m so glad I found you mom.”
“me too honey … now how about you go sleep,” I push your head to the pillows and get up, “and I will go and make you that calming potion”
My breathing gets deeper as I get close to sleep. “Good night, please don’t leave me for long” I whisper almost asleep.
“I won’t don’t worry baby” With a smile I went to go make your potion which didn’t take long as I had already started a potion for you and as soon as I was done I bottled it and went up to your room seeing you asleep so knowing I had a few minutes I switched the potion with the cookies and went to put them away in the fridge before going back up to your room.
I turn over and my eyes open a little, I see you still in room, which make me smile and drift back off too sleep.
I walk closer to you “baby do you want me to lay down with you?”
I nod my head slowly. “please, I don’t want the nightmares again.”
“okay” I walk over and climb into the bed behind you closest to the wall making sure I don’t step on you accidentally and I lay down next to you and wrap my arms around your body.
I fall asleep smiling, its the most peaceful I have been for a while.
I smile falling asleep not long after you.
The sunlight shines through the window, I stretch waking myself up. A night or no nightmares, I smile to myself realising you are still next to me.
I smile as the sun shines on me before waking up and seeing you smiling at me “good morning rain”
“Good morning mom.” I say feeling extremely relaxed.
“Did you have a good sleep? Any new dreams?”
“I had an amazing sleep.” I say stretching and smiling towards you. “And no dreams, which makes me happy!”
“Well that’s good then” I stretch a little smiling at you.
I get up and sit on the side of the bed. “But I do need coffee, urgh.” I grown.
Chuckling at your sounds I get up and crawl out of bed “let’s go get something to eat, do you wanna eat in or go out for breakfast?”
“Going out sounds good to me!” I say grinning. “As long as there is coffee!!”
“okay we can go to that nice place on the street corner, so go get ready”
“Ok” I go and get changed. Making my way to the door is wait for you.
I get changed and make my skin go pale before meeting you at the door and we go out, I lock the door and we start heading down to the coffee shop.
Walking towards the coffee shop with you, I have a skip in my step from having a really good sleep. “I’m so glad that being with you controls my issues.”
I giggle watching you skip, “I believe you will find that as long as there are people willing to help you no matter what the element of control gets easier”
We get in the shop and I order a large black coffee and a bagel. "I am so grateful for you being here for me" I smile.

I suddenly jump back into consciousness by the sounds of laughter. Frowning I look around to check out my surroundings. I am sat on a chair hands and legs are tied up. On the other side of the room I see a man @shamelessjerome who is also in the same position, but he seems to be enjoying it a lot more.
Jerome tugged on the restraints attached to his wrists and let out a bitter laugh. “Not really how I expected my first bondage experience to go.” He joked before clenching his teeth and trying again to free himself. He huffed out a breath and looked up, noticing you across the room. “Oh. Morning Sunshine.”
I raise an eyebrow and force a smile out towards Jerome. Didn’t really feel like smiling while being tied to a chair. “I wouldn’t call this a good morning. I’ve had better!” I joke. @shamelessjerome
“Didn’t say good morning,” Jerome grumbled, an exasperated groan emitting from his lips when he realised he couldn’t free himself as easily as he’d hoped. “Goddammit.” He focused on you again and rolled his eyes, before looking around the room. “How the hell did we get in here?” He asked, before furrowing his brows. “Where is ‘here’?”
Hearing you growl makes me chuckle a little. “Well I apologise for my poor listening skills.” I smile sweetly. “Can’t be helped we I’m stuck in this position.” I say oozing with sarcasm. I stay calm, just watching you, trying to guess what type of person you are, but for some reason I cannot read you. “I have no idea why we are here, I pass out a lot, so whoever it is probably took me then!” I look confused. “Do you remember anything?” @shamelessjerome
“If I did, I wouldn’t be asking questions.” Jerome said rather bitterly, growing more and more impatient by the second. He didn’t know where he was, and he had no idea how he’d gotten there. “At least you’ve got an explanation.” His mind flickered back to the last thing he remembered, but everything just seemed hazy and unclear. He began to pull at his restraints again. “I’ve gotta get outta here.”
“There’s no point in even trying to get out!” I motion to the windows that are boarded up and the only door, that looks like a big slab of metal. “And my reason isn’t an explanation, I can’t help passing out and I didn’t see who took me…obviously!” I roll my eyes and shake my head. @shamelessjerome
“Alright!” Jerome suddenly shouted and shut his eyes. He took in a slow breath through his nose and let it out gradually. “Alright…arguing isn’t gonna help us.” He said defeatedly, silently applauding himself for being so reasonable. He sighed. “Do you…do you remember where you were before you passed out? Maybe we were in the same place or somethin’.” He shifted uncomfortably.
Thinking back to before, I suddenly remembered. “I was in Arkham, I got put in there a couple of weeks ago. ” I say slightly embarrassed admitting I was in an Asylum. @shamelessjerome
Jerome felt realization wash over him like a tsunami. His eyes widened and he groaned, letting his head roll back. “Ah Christ. That’s right.” He went to rub his eyes but his hands were stopped. “They sent me in yesterday. Something must’ve happened in there…but why just us?”
“You were in there too?” I ask being even more confused now. Deep in my gut I knew why I might of been took away bit I didn’t want to tell my secret. “I dunno why, it’s strange…” I answer trying to sound believable. @shamelessjerome
“I’m in and out of there every other week.” Jerome rolled his eyes and focused on the ropes tightly restraining his arms. He tried to shimmy the knotted end around to face him and once he did he determined it’d be almost impossible to undo it with no hands. “How ‘bout you?” Jerome feigned pleasantness and leaned down towards the knot, debating whether or not he could untie it with his mouth.
I roll my neck starting to feel really uncomfortable sat in the same position, I struggle a little to see if I can loosen the ties, but don't succeed. "I got transfered from an Asylum in London, they couldn't cope with my 'behaviour' so sent me to Arkham." @shamelessjerome

Jared, would you ever sing to a girlfriend to calm her down if she suffers from anxiety/depression? If so how/what would you do?
Jared: Yes, of course I would if it helped her. I wouldn’t just sing or strum the guitar, I’d let her know she is loved, cared for and safe with me. That’s as long as it’s in my power I wouldn’t let anything bad happen to her. I would make sure she laughed, we all know that’s the best medicine, I would pull out all my best dance moves or weird voices to get that laugh out of her. If she still wanted me to play for her then I would, whatever she wanted for however long she needed.
