okay yes I’m gonna bring it up AGAIN cause this shit really bugs me. I think where they really lost me with gracevas is them having sex. I could accept this being in love with your straight best friend story line if Grace didn’t have sex with Zoe. Her kissing Zoe and “trying” to embrace it for zoe I can maybe accept that someone would do that. But I can’t wrap my mind around her having sex and then being like but “I’m not gay” the next day. The writers went to far with that. And that IS queer baiting. To tease this relationship to the point that sex was canon but then 2 mins later to say well its not happening cause Grace likes boys is really gross. They just teased gracevas too far for plot convince and shock value and that’s not fair to us. They should have addressed this right after Don’t look Back. It could have been a 1 ep plot where they figure out are they friends or more and Grace lets Zoe know she’s not gay but she likes hanging out with her and wants to be friends. To lead the audience on for a movie and then 7 eps is cruel. And take out gracevas, They did a lot to suggest GRACE was gay or at least bi. They literally have a scene in season 14 of her checking out a girl. Why did the writer make that choice to show Grace checking out a girl? This is queer baiting, point blank. Then they tease her being into girls again with her getting Gloria’s number. Yea it was all in good fun but it was the writers teasing lgbt representation once again. And that all lead into gracevas with the reveal being after a movie and 7 eps later that she is straight and likes Zig Novak. I just pull my hair out over it.  The writers really fucked up on this for so many reasons.

Here’s the rare version of the original Degrassi theme song with the extended rap. I never knew it existed until last winter when I was making my best friend Kavin a mix of all the original songs on Degrassi. I think it’s both hilarious and wonderful… Gotta love a gospel breakdown featuring a children’s chorus.
