For me it’s the same idea as the “know the rules before you start breaking them” thing for art and writing-it lets you break them deliberately

I recently had surgery, and at the time I came home, I had both my cat and one of my grandma's cats staying with me.

- Within hours of surgery, I wake up from a nap to my cat gently sniffing at my incisions with great alarm.

- I was not allowed to shower the first day after surgery, and the cats, seeing that The Large Cat is not observing its cleaning ritual, decided I must be gravely disabled and compensated by licking all the exposed skin on my arms, face, and legs.

- I currently have to sleep with a pillow over my abdomen because my cat insists on climbing on top of me and covering my incisions with her body while I sleep (which is very sweet but not exactly comfortable without the pillow). She also lays across me facing my bedroom door, presumably on guard for attackers who may try to harm me while I'm sleeping and injured.

I recently sent someone a nice ask and have been wondering if it'll be answered, then remembered all the nice asks I've gotten on this blog that I never answered because they were so so nice and lovely I just had to keep them like treasured letters and postcards.

They're just kind of forever part of this account, devoured by the inbox.

Please know if you ever sent me an ask I didn't answer, I basically loved it so much I had to eat it.

(sometimes I will cough it back up to reread, but mostly it's just a part of me)

As someone putting off official diagnosis for a number of reasons, there is a huge mental burden of trying to figure out whether my perceived mental differences are the result of underlying neurodivergence or if I’m just failing the self awareness test and conflating normal everyday issues with struggles inherent to autism.

If the summation of your difficulties make you wonder that you're autistic, then please take care of yourself. Look into autism and getting help.

My post is about those who dismiss individual posts such as if someone asks a question about autism and difficulties staying hydrated, an allistic may jump in and say "everyone struggles with this sometimes. This isn't an autism trait."

Which is incorrect when it's in the scope of an autistic person. It's a very different why and how it affects us.

Step 1: Old Jeans Waistband

- Cut off waistband from rest of pants

Step 2: Cut to Wrist Size (X2)

- measure around your wrist and cut

Step 3: Add Closure

-button + buttonhole or safety pin + soda tab works best imo

- Sew down soda tab to one side, safety pin to other

Step 4: Add Hardware

- good options are spikes, more safety pins, more soda tabs, staples, chains, and whatever else you can find

Step 5: SHOW OFF!!!!
