“Morsillon, I – what are you doing?”

Avatar

“I missed you so I’m giving you a hug, of course! I haven’t seen you for ages!”

Image

“I do suppose it’s been a while, my dear Morsillon. I’ve been… busy…”

“I can imagine you were, lovely. But, I digress; I’ve been all over the place myself, I have.”

The woman removes herself from the lanky scientist to smile brightly up at her beloved, golden eyes shining with mischief and affection.

“How have you been, otherwise? Okay? You been eating enough?” She examines his person briefly as she asked these questions.

“You need not worry, Morsillon. I’ve been taking care of myself.” Jamison reassured with a small smile.      He wasn’t exactly lying when he said that, because he was in fact taking care of himself, he just wasn’t doing things that were necessary, more specifically, eating and sleeping, as often as one should. But that was normal, and the doctor felt no need to inform her of this.

UPDATE:

Hi! You’re probably wondering: where did Seymour go for almost a whole year? Well, my computer kind of went down the shithole and I could hardly use it, leaving me locked to my cell phone and away from this account.

However; by some miracle – if one can call it that, my computer is working again, and I am back! My activity will still be sporadic, but that is simply a given; considering I just finished high school and am now stuck in an endless loop of social events that I have never been invited to before.

So for the meantime, I will be on and off periodically throughout the summer. I will make sure that I don’t abandon this account; however! I care about you guys too much to leave this account :)

Anyways; I’ll try to be more active, and I hope to roleplay with all of you again!

"Hello, sweetie~"

“Hello, darling.” The doctor said, not looking up from his work station. He was nearing the completion of the creature, and didn’t want any distractions.

However, Mya would be the exception to that desire for no distractions.

He finally turned from his station, adjusting his goggles. “How’ve you been?”

Avatar

“He? Are you sure it’s a boy?” The doctor asked, silently hoping it was indeed a son. Sure, he doubted that he’d be a good father, but he wanted to at least have a son carry on the family name. (No matter how cursed it would be in the future.)

Junkenstein gazed longingly at the monster, knowing that it could possibly take ages to even come close. For a second, he even considered calling the Witch of the Wilds to assist him; but knew that could only lead to an impossible deal.

“Morsillon; if you need to rest, please do so. You’ve probably had a long day.” He didn’t exactly know if that was true, but it was probable; as she did disappear often and for days to weeks at a time.

“Ahh well enough, I like to think. Did some planet hopping, seeing old friends, prepping the old ship for its future passenger,” she was referring to their still developing unborn child, “things like that.”

The Time Lady steps into the room over to the desk where Junkenstein was sat, smiling warmly at the sight of his face. She wouldn’t lie when she said she had missed him terribly.

“Hope I wasn’t gone too long this time~”

“I’m glad to see you back, my love. You were gone for quite some time, a fortnight even. Er, fourteen days, I believe.” He rambled, trying to recall just how long she was gone for.

She had definitely left over a week ago, but Junkenstein had distracted himself from her absence with his work, having worked nonstop on the still in-progress creature he had started some time ago. He didn’t even recall taking a break to sleep until nearly a week had passed, but even then he still lost track of time.

“I fear, however, you’ve returned at quite a critical time. It – the creature – is nearing its completion! And yet, I still cannot seem to find a vital part.” He turned to face the creation, his back facing his wife.

“It’s not… perfect… yet, I’m afraid.” The doctor muttered, running his metallic hand over the creature’s discolored torso, longing to know just what the key to finishing it was.

Was it another organ? He had already gathered the innards, even attempting to use one of his own kidneys for the creation in a fit of insanity. (Thankfully, he was stopped before the painful procedure started.) Surely, something was missing. He just didn’t know what.

“I am still relieved to see you home, my dear. It was getting quite lonesome, and I missed your company.”

The brunette steps closer so she was by the man’s side, following his gaze as it drifted to the table. A sort of bittersweet smile is on her face the longer she stares; it did not take any sort of scientist or generally smart individual to see this was what he had been investing all his time in rather than actually taking care of himself. But then, when had Jamison ever truly done that before this?

“I missed you too, handsome. I plan to stay here for a good few months this time ‘round, unless the baby has been making plans to do otherwise.” The last sentence was a joke, as emphasized by her soft laughter.

“How is it, anyway? Are there any complications?” He asked, worry shifting from the monster to their unborn child. “Please tell me it’s healthy.”

While the doctor was elated that she was to stay for a few months, he was still worried about everything from the creature to the baby, from his wife’s well-being to his own. (Well, not really his own well-being, but he was worried about everything in general.)

☽ and ❂ {Wandering alone at night and wiping blood off her face cause why not XP}

send one for my muse’s reaction to your muse —

☽ = wandering alone at night .

❂ = wiping blood off their face .

It was nearing midnight, and the doctor had been worried about Madra for a few hours now. She hadn’t returned to his cottage, and in his own opinion, it was late. Extremely late.

He sighed, knowing he had to go and find his friend.

Junkenstein ventured out of the cottage and walked around the border of the forest, until he eventually found her.

“Madra…? Are you alright?” He asked, hoping she could hear him. (It was from a distance, and he was talking quietly.) He noticed she was out alone, and was holding her face. And coating her hand was a blackish substance. Blood.

“Oh my Lord…” He muttered to himself, rushing to where she was.

“A scientific breakthrough? It is most definitely a scientific breakthrough! Can you believe it? A man, creating life with his own two hands! It’d be… Astounding!” The doctor exclaimed, his disposition suddenly changing from solemn to excitement. He clasped his hands together in glee, joyous from the mere thought of what rewards and respect that his creation would bring him.
Junkenstein’s frown soon returned, worry evident in his expression. “But…” He began, barely above a whisper, “… What if he only lives for a moment? Would I be considered a fool for it?”

“Well… this is coming from a literal human chimera and I agree- this is basically just making a homunculus but without alchemy. It’s very fascinating.” She agreed with a slight fanged smile. Madra was a woman of science, this was the kind of stuff she used to be all over in. She was also amused since she had never seen him so ‘exited’ before.

However the moment he frowned again she tried to cheer him up. “In my opinion it’s just a stepping stone. Even if it lives for a moment then all you have to do is make it better, you can’t get worse- you can only improve on what you make.”

“If it’s only for a moment, it means that my success is short-lived. Nobody would believe me; they’d think I was a madman! Well... madder than they already think I am...! No matter, I’ll still try, a-and if I succeed, then I’ll show them! I’ll show them all...!” He wasn’t quite sure how to feel; but knew that there was a 50/50 chance of success. Although, failure was an option, and was equally as probable.

The doctor hoped it was anything but that.

“Madra, how would I be able to improve it if it’s only for a single moment? The secret of life... It’s more than just resurrecting something and calling it a day! It’s more complicated than that!”

There had been some kind of explosion in the lab when it happened. They had been working on some kind of experiment, but something went horribly wrong.

In a blinding white light accompanied by a noise louder than thunder knocked the two of them back, the doctor hitting his head on the way down and went unconscious.

It had been an hour or two before he slowly woke up, not in the same place where he fell. Did he move while unconscious? Slowly getting up, he felt something was off. Jamison was a lot shorter than his height of 6′6″. Almost immediately, he checked his hands. There were two flesh hands in place of his singular flesh hand and metallic arm.

“Oh, Lord…” He whispered in a voice that was not his own, the doctor’s eyes widening. Junkenstein looked to his left only to see his unconscious body.

“Am I…? But… that’s impossible. I must be dreaming…”

“...” He went silent one again, eyes widening in realization.

“What the hell?” He had forgotten about the fact that she was indeed pregnant. “This can get fixed quickly, right?” There was no way in Hell he’d want to be in this condition for more than a few weeks.

Junkenstein looked at himself -- Mya --, with a slightly panicked expression. “You will fix this within a few weeks, right?”

“Would it help if I say yes?” The doctor asked, still not quite understanding what she had meant. He turned to find another stool to sit on, as he needed to sit down. This was just too much information to process at the moment.

Junkenstein sighed. “Hopefully we find a way to switch back soon; I don’t think I’ll be able to last like this for very long.” It was a whole new experience, having all four limbs – oh, and being the opposite sex. Jamison wasn’t sure he would be able to work in that condition. (Although, having all four limbs is very beneficial when working, as you don’t need to worry about breaking your metal arm or peg leg that often. Not to mention, there would be less errors with the limbs themselves. The doctor just hadn’t realized that yet.)

He sat down on the only stool left in the room, thinking over the whole situation.

“Do you think this might be permanent?”

The Time Lady had been deep in thought as the Doctor spoke, her prosthetic hand holding up her chin as she leaned back against the wall; during the movement she managed to pop a few bones either out or back into place. She wouldn’t be sure until she moved again.

“I don’t believe so. From what I’ve come to understand, we’ve only swapped brains. This has happened before through other… unscientific means, but it’s been done and it has also been reversed. We just need to figure out a way to do it before things get, well, more complicated,”

She glances up to Jamie - the woman in the stool across the room-, and sits up a bit.

“…On the topic of complications, how are you feeling? Any soreness, headaches, nausea? Anything?” She bit her lip as she waited for a reply.

“How am I feeling? You mean other than confused and worried? I.. I’d say fine.” He said with a small shrug, unable to shake off the feeling of unease. His mind was filling with questions; mostly questions about how they would possibly switch back.

The doctor’s frown deepened. “Why do you ask? If anything, I should be the one asking you how you feel.” She was probably in a lot of pain, but Junkenstein couldn’t simply assume. Pain was different for everyone, after all. Junkenstein contemplated over the situation once more, still as confused as before.

“This sucks.”

|| Come to think of it, I should have explained my sporadic replies and extended absences.

As many of you know, I am currently taking 3 AP classes, two for art and one for English. I also have a job that requires me to work on Saturdays. Most of my week is taken up by school, work, or church. (Yes, I know, but I don’t have a say in whether or not I can stay home.) I apologize, and I hope you can forgive me.

I believe all of my replies at the moment are complete, but please let me know if I still owe you a reply. (I’ve stayed home sick today and I can easily complete those now! Please let me know!) I don’t want to leave any of you hanging, after all!

I also have joined new fandoms, and I am somewhat more active on the newer blogs. (Just ask me to reblog those promos because I am still questioning whether or not I should ^^’)

I still adore Overwatch and the Doctor, I’ve just been far too busy to actually write.

I hope my apology is adequate, and I hope to return to writing here soon. ||

“Golems? I’m not sure what those are, but I’ll just trust you.” They sounded much like something out of a folktale, something like the stories his parents told him when he was a small child. Jamison felt that his creature was more of a being of chaos and destruction, but each to their own.
He frowned.
“I wouldn’t consider it a noble cause, Madra.” The doctor said, “I only want to see if it’s possible.” Many people before him had attempted at creating life but failed. Junkenstein was determined to succeed; even if the results were catastrophic.

Madra raised a brow. “Are you kidding, I consider this a scientific breakthrough if you do make a creature and give it life. This is what science should be… not getting living beings and seeing how far you can alter them without them dying. You are a good man Doctor, those people outside are just afraid of things the can’t possibly wrap their heads around.” She tried to reassure him with a small smile.
