So this year, since we did things a little bit differently with the list, I decided to do the last prompt of the month a little differently too. I didn’t have as many entries as I thought I was going to, so I ended up with about 13 people who hadn’t made it on the list properly. I figured, shit what the hell and decided to use you guys as my warm ups during the course of the month. :3

So as Drawtober comes to a close, I’d like to thank you all. Thank you to those who entered and offered up both prompts and lovely OCs for me to draw! I had some really challenging prompts this year which allowed me to push my creativity and come up with some pretty cool looking pieces. Thank you to those of you who have been following along, liking and reblogging/retweeting these here and over on twitter. Your support means a lot to me! I love seeing all the kind comments and the nice tags you guys leave. Warms my heart! Gives me fire to keep drawing! Thank you! A million times thank you!

This year felt so easy as compared to the last few. Giving myself Sundays off really helped me keep up my pacing through the week. It’s a wonder what having a single day off to look forward to can do for your motivation. This also helped by shortening the list by a few slots, meaning I wasn’t overworking my wrist too much. I’m not sure I’d have made it through the month if I had been doing a full 31 with the amount of experimental shading I was doing! Also helpful was that I caught my usual season-change cold in September rather than October, so I was all back to full health by the time Drawtober started! Barring the two occasions that I couldn’t finish on time…but hey, two that were posted only a few hours late? That’s pretty darn good compared to the last time where I lost about a week to illness and was scrambling to catch back up! So I’ll take it.

I think moving forward from here, I will be doing this method again next year, as it really worked out well for me this year. I will also have the master list up here shortly with links to this year’s entries. So what’s to come now? Well, I’ll be getting the new commission info site together and reopening those. Shooting for mid-Nov, but we’ll see. I will, as always, announce it here when it happens. Also considering another YCH-esque run for Dec maybe! But for now? I rest.
