“Stay still,” You giggle as you poise your brush carefully among Jaehyun’s cheekbones, dotting his face with fake freckles.

Jaehyun only hums contentedly, a small smile spreading across his face as his eyes flutter shut, relishing in the feeling of the sun shining through his closed eyelids the light brush of your breaths upon his face. 

The two of you are at a park, roughly a twenty minute walk away from your apartment. When you had mentioned your need of a model for a photography assignment over dinner, Jaehyun had been quick to volunteer—maybe a bit too quick—and had only asked for a meal and some plants in return.

That was how you two ended up where you currently are: in the park at a staged picnic scene that seems a bit too artificial to be real, but is good enough for what you have in mind.

“So, what do you want me to do again?” Asks Jaehyun, trying his best not to move as you continue to lightly dot makeup upon his face.

He opens his eyes slightly simply to stare up at your features scrunched up in concentration. The sight of you is breathtaking and he can’t seem to tear his eyes away from your face. You—being preoccupied with his makeup—fail to notice the fact that Jaehyun is so blatantly staring at you.

“Just sit there and look pretty.” Putting away the makeup in your hands, you quickly make your way over to your camera bag sitting in the grass.

Jaehyun is still confused as to what exactly you want him to do but decides to just sit as he is, seeing as you haven’t said anything that implies he’s doing anything wrong.

You snap away, pictures of Jaehyun slowly filling up your SD card.

Jaehyun can’t help but notice how mesmerizing you look as you stare at him through the camera in your hands and it takes every fibre of his being to look away from you and pose as you had asked.

Your photo shoot lasts around an hour, Jaehyun striking multiple candid looking poses and you’re certain you have more than enough content for your assignment.

“Can we eat now?” He asks, gesturing towards the picnic basket, his puppy dog eyes and pout directed towards you.

Humming, you look through your photos, seemingly purposely avoiding eye contact with a slight smirk on your face while Jaehyun continues to stare at you.

“Yeah, okay.” You reply and Jaehyun immediately beams as he flips open the flap of the basket, pulling out a sandwich and munching away happily.

You only laugh and pull out your own, slotting your SD card into your laptop as you begin to edit the photos.

Jaehyun decides that he is more than content with you—his roommate—on this artificial picnic.
