“It’s just all too loud” she mumbled, shaking her head. At his question, she shifted in her seat, her head bowed once again. Silently, she tried to figure out how to tell him.
"Violet, did you hear me? Do I have to ask again?"
"He deserves it."
“I don’t care.”
“Please don’t, it’s not that bad.”
"But he is."
“But I want to.”
“Please don’t, it barely hurt me.”
"I don't care."
“He shouldn’t do that.”
“That doesn’t matter him, you’re not going to do anything.”
"But I want to."
“You’re worth that to me.”
“It’s not that bad.”
"He shouldn't do that."
“Why shouldn’t I?”
“You’ll get in trouble, it’s not worth it.”
"You're worth that to me."
“He still deserves to rot.”
“Please, Oliver, don’t do anything.”
"Why shouldn't I?"
“I want to.”
“Please don’t, it’s fine, I’m okay.”
"He still deserves to rot."
“I’ll kill him.”
Violet shook her head frantically, stroking his cheek, “N-No, you don’t need too.”
"I want to."
“Before he tipped it?”
She nodded.
"I'll kill him."
Oliver caught sight of her red, scratched wrist. “Was that him too?”
Violet paused before nodding, “I was trying to get his hands off my wheelchair.”
“Before he tipped it?”
“Because you were on the floor?”
“He threw me out of the chair.”
“Bastard!”
“He did that?”
“I got him angry.”
“This isn’t your fault.”
“How did it break?”
Violet looked down, silent for a moment as she rubbed her irritated wrist.
“Vi, come on. What happened?:
“Yes.”
There was a few moments of pause before she spoke again, “My wheelchair’s broken.”
“How did it break?”
“I don’t need you here, get out.”
With that, her dad pushed her out of her chair and threw it across the room. “Come on, we’re going. Good luck getting up if you don’t need us, honey.”
