“That’s one way to brush off what you were feeling, heh.” Now it was her turn to be smug, “I’m positive you also did like what you were seeing, Soki, we’re still siblings after all.” A playful nudge with her elbow as they walked side by side, there was not much left to say and only hurry to catch up, taking as much more of the sights as possible.
…Even as they got close bathhouse, had to stay composed now, this was all cool, nothing was wrong.
“Quite an interesting place they have, even if we aren’t exactly far from home, the differences show everywhere.” Uzuki was always the sucker for everything around her, she was curious and loved taking it all in, and boy she would most likely have time to. This was the perfect example of the half of her human and fox blood showing. The curiosity and more emotional display from a human and quite the years to be able to fulfill with as many experiences as possible.
Meeting Holo and Lawrence in person was fantastic, this was lively and slowly like a certain home away from home, something felt just… right, not only because they were being so welcoming right off the bat.
“It’s a pleasure to meet both of you.” Uzuki said first and foremost, she also prefered to pass on the wine herself, she was more of the sweeter drinks kind and if anything… She most likely even took after her father if she got drunk for all she knew too. “As Soki mentioned, yes, mother as of recent times has been more busy with father, we have no real idea why.“ Thinking about it as they mentioned it with someone else made her realize it was…. odd. No matter who Yagyu was, she always had time to be more around; especially Yu.
“Even on their busiest of days, both of them would always be very present no matter what, no matter if we were good enough to take care of ourselves and with all the people present around our household as it is known.” Although on a brighter note, “It would be great if all our family could come here sometime, yes.”
Although this made Uzuki think now… “I do not mean to be rude, but… Was there also any reason for us to get invited here? Aside from the kindness and the connection we share that makes me happy to see.”
“Particular reason? Nay, I suppose not... Not quite yet, anyway. As merchants we always want to get the most out of something and see where it leads. Now that you two are off on your journey, we wish to see where it’ll lead you, too”
With that Holo would stand and cough, nodding her head to Lawrence; he looked slightly uncertain of himself, but... Regardless, he nodded back. She turned around and walked away as if expecting the two to follow. Lawrence turned to nod towards Soki and Uzuki, standing and slowly following after Holo. Once outside they were taken to a large field; it hadn’t taken long to get there, but there was literally nothing around bar pure green grass.
“Tis’ a blessing! Indeed it is, this Wisewolf shall help any way she can... First and foremost... We need to attach your soul to something. For example, mines attached to this bag of never-fading wheat. Your earrings should do the trick”
Soki was the first to step forwards, frown plastered across her lips; what was she getting herself into? Though if it was harmless, then that meant that Uzuki could do this too. As such, Holo placed both hands around the side of Soki’s head, causing the young girl to blush; Holo’s fingers gently caressing the red earring that hung from her ear.
“Ruven No Ishko Vigen ran Soki...”
The strange language whispered in Soki’s ears caused her skin to tingle as a wave of something washed over her; like a tsunami, and yet... It was oddly calm; she clamped her eyes shut in fear, and when she opened them...
A... Field of gems? Nay, moreso crystals; jutting out the ground haphazardly, pointed ends probably fatal if Soki were to land on it. She tried calling out to her family, to her sister, to Holo or Lawrence; no voice came back to her. Looking down at the ground was her earring; picking it up and placing it back on her ear, the crystals on the ground started to glow a beautiful crimson colour, showing her...
Looking through the crystal was an image of Uzuki, Holo and Lawrence gazing up at this huge wolf; though every time Soki moved her head, it moved too... And same with walking.
Turning around to look she heard a scream from down bellow, glancing through one of the gems to see that she’d nearly stood on Uzuki; with a sweatdrop she tried to reach out to pick her up, though a gigantic paw instead just grazed at her sister instead.
“Soki! To return to normal, you need to break the earring. Don’t worry, it’s still on you, it’s just the link between that form and this”
She could hear Holo screaming out at her, hastily removing the earring and crushing it; within seconds the tidal-wave crashed over her once more, returning her to her normal form.
“That was... Wild. What on...”
Soki went to speak though instead hugged her sister first, glad to have not actually crushed her; though she then pushed Uzuki towards Holo, grinning.
“You’ve gotta do that. That’s so cool.”
